yep, or else it would be an awfully big waste of space. who cares though, not like we'll ever make any crazy discoveries in our lifetime. i just like to be open-minded about stuff, and it's hard to believe that earth is the has the only atmosphere that can support life. perhaps other planets are just in their early stages of evolution, or are so different, technology-wise we can't manage to communicate anyways.

try this on for size... every scientist will tell you that intellegent life has or will exist elsewhere- the probability is very very high. but in the rare case that it evolved at the SAME TIME as us is incredibly rare... given the lifetime of the universe and our insignificant blip of 1,000,000 years.

I find that the first intelligent that we will meet will be the ones that we create on our planet. (Computers) when computers get so far advanced beyound our own comprehention, then the singularity that we will have created wil be the first intelligent life on this planet.

Besides us. And yeah, i am pretty sure there are others on other planets. The most habitable planet beside us is in Alpha Centuri, and it would take 5 generations of humans to reach this planet with a fast as light ship.

A big impossibilty. The chances that another living enviorment could have an evolutionary chain exactly simular to ours is extremely improbable. If a planet was discovered that could sustain life and was extremely simular in enviorments to our planet, then it is possible that the life forms might be simular to our own, but definitely not humans, but possible humanoids.

^how so the matter from another planet couldve also formed like ours or be forming, my science teacher one day talkin about the moon said wut if there was another earth on the other side of the moon, n everythin was exactly the same, n we sent out a space suttle to go to the other side to see wuts there since we neva get to see it from earth, n on the other side was another earth n they landed but didnt no it was another one cause it was exactly the same, that would be real weird

i have seen this story where on some island the native people have seen little people that are not humans, they talk about them in like thier stories n crap, they havnt seen them for a while but like have been spotted in caves n stuff. human like creatures but not humans

with wut i said, yeah its unlikely that there is another planet but if u look at how big the universe is it could happen, all that has to happen is the same matter coming together which is unlikely but still could happen or happened
