i was wondering if there any other boots i should consider getting besides these , possibly cheaper etc.

there not cheap but kryptons...

best boot ever omg its like when you ski your feet are moaning in an orgasmic boot of awesomeness

and if your feet have stopped growing they can last you a while

these kinds of threads are absolutely rediculouse, of course theres other boots, get boots that fit you best

Dear Threadmaker:

My name is Lyndon, and I spent over 5 hours making a tutorial on how to buy boots, and have spent endless hours preaching to buy what fits, not what is "park specific". Basically, what you're telling me is I completely wasted my time in doing these things. I would advise you read the Guide, then think about your decision.

So, in short, go and buy SPK's, and I hope you have the most uncomfortable time on them filled with blisters and shinbang.

dalbellos.

its too bad that salomon stopped making the foil cause its like the best boot ever. i picked up last years pair right at the end of the season when i heard they werent making it anymore.

uhhhhh you wanna buy a boot that is not only designed for what kind of skiing you are doing....but that fits PROPERLLY. buying a boot only on if it fits right is like buying a pair of skis becasue it is the height you need. you would be a fucking idiot if you did this. same goes about if u buy a boot solley on it fitting.

and the krypton pro is a VERY stiff boot. so dont get it unless that is what you are after.

i hate you sometimes. just let the kid be. tell him to go to the ski shop and leave it at that. and fuck you for wishing the kid an uncomfortable season. no one told you to make that thread, regardless of how great it is (it is pretty well done).

sound good?

X-Wave Last:

Wide everywhere! Most people that are in a foil boot shouldn't be in the foil boot! I have a considerably high volume foot and still my foot slopped around in an X-Wave last.

Impact Last:

Wide forefoot, narrow heel. Salomon boots were notorious for not giving the wearer the proper heel hold so Salomon actually did something about it (something Rossignol should look into)!

it is 100 percent impossible to recommend a boot without seeing your feet(and muchh muchh more). go see a bootfitter, get what FITS not whats "cool." and if it fits comfortably in the shop, it wont fit comfortably on the hill. thats a fact.

They're pretty similar. A bit roomier in the toe and maybe snugger in the heel. I just tried them on quickly and X-Wave and Impact are both too wide for me so it's hard for me to tell, but I thought they felt quite similar.

haha sorry i didn't mean to offend anyone in this thread , where can i find the boot tutorial that you wrote ? i'd be interested in reading it . also i was just considering the spk's because i've just heard really good things about them from anyone and was wondering what other boots would be good also to take into consideration .

Lyndon stop being such a tool. all the kid want to know what other types of boots. My recommendation is Nordica Ingnitons boots

go get fitted, if SPK's fit you like they fit me, and there just as glorious comfy, super good fitting, lightest boots ever for your foot get them,

if there not they will suck

if you want to be classy and feel like you have nothing on your feet you could buy some full tilt camo's oohhh baby.... what a boot
