OSU/UO students..

Hey, I was just wondering if there were any Oregon State or U of Oregon

students/alumni on here that could give me some info on the schools. If

there was already a thread on this just let me know, sorry.

I am currently a junior in high school in Washington, and just sorta

looking to see if I can get some information on some colleges that I

might be interested in. Since Oregon is close, but also far enough

away, it seems like a pretty good option.

What was your GPA, and your SAT scores when you got in?

How is the skiing like around the schools? Campuses? and the town?

Thanks

Luke

I go to OSU, its pretty easy to get into, same with U of O (brother goes there). Ski at Mt. Hood pretty much every weekend in the winter, its about 2 and a half hours away though. Corvallis is definitely a college town, lots of frat and sorority activity. Feel free to message me if you want for more info

2 1/2 hours? what way do you go you can get there way faster than that.

I transfered to OSU from university of utah and I love it here. Eugene and Corvallis are way different places. What are you looking for? Eugene is more about a lot of different house parties and walking around a grip and corvallis is all centered around greek life. Corvallis has way fatter parties and more bitches its the shit

you gotta roll up to ptown then to hood from corvallis im pretty sure.

its chill tho frat bro.

Yea you can kinda cut corners I guess I usually just crash in Portland for the weekend though

i made it back from west coast sessions to osu in 2 hours. but traffic was good and no potty breaks

2 Hours Damn. It usually takes me about 2.5-3 to get to hood but staying in portland is key. I chose to move from Eugene and go to OSU, I think that OSU has a better campus and it's more of a college town that Eugene is. There's also a ski bus that goes to Meadows during winter term which is nice if you're living on campus and don't have a car. SAT/GPA ain't no thang.

Haha its funny that you say that because if i remeber right you never wanted to come out and see me... and then once you did you got super jealous of how sweet it is!!!

55 miles from ptown to Govy. but that depends on where you are..Gresham is way closers...especially traffic wise...if you wanna go to school, come to bend and get your Bachelors at the OSU campus here and you're 22 miles from Bachelor..better snow, parks and cheaper pass. AND there is actually a ski town here.

plus I started a freestyle ski team here at COCC/OSU Cascades and we are going to Regionals and Nationals in CO in Feb and March. Bangerade

Hey what up, I'm a Junior at U of O from Portland. Last year I skied mt. Hood Meadows and mt. Bachelor, one or the other every weekend in the winter. Willamette Pass is a small family owned resort about 50 min to the parking lot from Eugene. Good place to go if your super hung over and couldn get the energy to trek to Bach or meadows for the weekend. Bachelor is about three or so hours from Eugene, real easy to go there for the weekend if you have friends who got a place in Sun River, Bend or Black Butte. Meadows is cool cause it is an hour from Portland so its easy to go back and forth every day, expensive tho....gas. Eugene is a college town I would say. Good bar scene fun people everywhere you go, really good athletics, sick facilities all over. Good business school, very good sports marketing program (one of the best in the country). Corvallis is way more of a college town in reference to greek life. Bigger and better at OSU as far as the greek life is considered. In state you need a 3.2... 3.5 maybe for automatic acceptance. I say go to U of O we need more newschoolers! Also, if you like rivalries we got a real good one... Im basking in my glory with a nice 65-38 victory over the beaves yesterday :) GO DUCKS
