FREE FOR EVERYONE this is not a comp. just a chance to hit some rails preseason
Waivers must be signed by everyone, under 18 MUST have a parent or LEGAL guardian sign their waiver.
Waivers available on our websites homepage www.oshawaskiclub.com (right side under Special Event Waiver) MUST be printed off in COLOUR and legible.
Open to skiers and snowboarders with advanced abilities. This event is strictly weather permitting and dependant on the availability of snow.

well i have to come home on the 28th for court. to bad on the 27th i have 10 hours of class, and class takes place 2 hours away from home, and i dont have a car. i wish i could come home on the 23rd when the classes for the week was over and have a kick ass 6 day weekend. fucking mondays.

The Rail Jam slated for this Sunday has been cancelled due to lack of available snow, we have tradionally gotten our snow from the local arenas, but for a number of reasons, weather (rain) being one, there simply is not enough available.
This happened last year, and we hate to disappoint, there is nothing worse than advertising something that has to be cancelled...I understand that, and that's why I am trying to give as much notice as possible.
To whoever posted my pic of our hill from the site, thanks! Too bad I'm looking at green grass again today...haha
New features for the OSC park are being planned out and will soon go into production...as always, I'll keep you hanging about what they are.

why not just plan it for a couple weeks down the road?
Because the rail jam is used to drum up interest for OSC during the open house. think about it...we wanna ski and most of us get driven there by parents who then decide "why not check out the open house" since they are already there. BAM...before they know it they are new members 
I think they could drum up a ton of exposuring hosting something like this on its own during the fall but i doubt they are interested in pursuing something like that...

Ryno has it pretty well nailed, the event traditionally ran in conjunction with our Open House, to attract more people to the event...and to give you guys something to get pumped for the season about. Also, it was a free event to give back to you guys for supporting our resort...it costs quite a bit of money believe it or not to do something like that.
We will not be rescheduling for a few reasons, the number 1 being that from here on through, we are pretty booked up with other events like our Ski Swap (shameless plug, Nov. 2 at Ontario Motor Sales in Oshawa), staff hiring and training dates etc. it's a busy time of year, you may not be skiing yet, but your local resorts are in full tilt finnishing up projects, and getting prepped for the season.
Winter is FAST approaching, and we are starting to plan out and fabricate some great new features for the park...
See you all soon...
