so its almost been a month and im so sick of waitin for my skis to come. just curious if there is any one else that has proformed them and if you have how long did they take to get here?!

sometimes pro form takes a while, i pro formed a blur xc and it took like 9 months, the guys at santa cruz are huge stoners and never get their shit together, i would expect faster from k2 but sometimes it just takes a while

haha not the answer i was wanting but thanks now i kinda have an idea.. did you proform them off of the vashonstorefront.com or paper forms thru a rep?

it took me 4 months to get a pair of Head SG skis on pro form, but my sisters fischers(see my pics)came in a week. depends on the rep

k2 form has only been open for like 2 weeks. It says the wait is 4 weeks at minimum for shop and proform

yeah dude, with proform you are the bottom of the barrel, they will send all of their other stuff out before you get yours usually. good thing it isn't winter eh?

Rumor Mill: I heard K2 has already run out of the heavy hitters this year but rumor is the next shipment comes in the middle of October. Good luck. You should get them soon and they are rad skis so enjoy.

steezemeister. You can get proforms from manufacturer outside reps and in house

employees. They are limited and usually only given out to regional

riders and shop employees. Go into the shop at what ever mountain you are working at and see if the shop will hook a brotha up.

You will want to do it by the middle of next month because as you have read here, stuff sells out quick. Salomon seems to have skis most of the year and they add product later in the season as well.

haha, pro form like the lowest of the low, your not special, and your not paying retail so you can't complain, It takes for ever to get gear off of a form.

hahaha what the fuck... pro ski instructor huh.... what qualifications do you have?

no chance your "pro" hahaha god

but you gotta find you rep that works at the resort with you...

I think they make instructors get certified and classified in other countries. I have heard Canadians talk about it. Super official.

the supposed goal would be cheap advertising for companies. give their product cheaply to industry people (especially ski instructors) who would then recommend said product to the unsuspecting masses. everyone already knows that hellbents are a revolutionary ski and theres really no reason for k2 to give them away for cheap when they could be selling that same pair at full price.

yeah ummm...

maybe i'm certified by the PROFESSIONAL SKI INSTRUCTORS OF AMERICA?????

you=sooper noob. i will accept your public apology later.

and you just dumb, the abbreviation 'pro' stands for profesional, which refers to some one being paid to do something, chances are he gets paid, and is not just teaching rich Asians to ski on groomers during a powder day for the fun of it, making him a 'pro' ski instruction.

and ski instructors are definatly people who get proforms.

hahaha

it's also your first year. big deal kid. this means you have the ability to ski like a beginner and you know enough theory about skiing to teach beginner lessons.

don't try and put yourself on a pedastal because it's a joke.

myself and many others on here are certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance to teach specific park and pipe lessons and unless the resort you work at has a deal with a ski company, you are SOL on pro-forms.

but i do get a pro-form with the shop i work at so that keeps me happy

I witnessed all the intructors taking their field test it was a fucking joke. They have the skill level of maybe an intermediate.

it can take like a month or two. they are usaully sent to a shop where they mount the bindings and everything, at least that wat they do at my mountain. we order the skis and bindings, give all the info and stuff, and they are all sent to one shop to get mounted. you should get a phone call though when they arrive or are close to arrival

steezemeister-

Sorry I didn't know about the PROFESSIONAL SKI INSTRUCTORS OF AMERICA. I was only familiar with the Canadian Park and Pipe certifications and there you go. My public appology. Dude, go into the shop and see if they are putting an employee order together.

freeskimccoy-

Did Gutt hook that up. I got some Hellbents myself and I am stoked to get on them.

On a lighter note...

The Salomon Proform is supposed to be up on Wednesday for those who have it. Who knows if it will happen. They seem to be dragging ass this year. I just saw the 2009 Dumonts on Backcountry half administered tonight. Hopefully they get everything up soon.

Peace,

The crazy thing about what you are saying and most other people are saying is that he would be lucky to get a proform. I have been in the ski industry for over 10 years and these people, the pro instructers, ski patrol and other Pros are the ones that actually get proforms. They are about wholesale or wholesale plus ten. The ever illusive shop or employee form is the covited form. It is any where from 10 to 30 percent below wholesale. So all im saying is a Pro as in a professional gets a proform, where as a employee for a shop gets shop from.

looks like 10/4 is there next shipment date but it seems like they pushed it back a couple times last year and my hellbents last year took a month, but my line SFB this year took only a week. who knows

fukk dude as in PSIA oh my bad.... i taught for 3 years cuz my dad made me..... hes a level 3 cert and examiner been with PSIA for over 30 years... hahaha its ur fist year love how ur claimin your a pro but whaterr dude man as long as ur happy thats all that matters. have fun wipin lil kids noses and gettin them hot coco on a blower pow day. been there done that... im not hatin just not for me... later mang.

good luck on the wait, hopefully you dont get f'd like i did last season. i sent my pro forms in, in September and i got notified in December that my binders were sold out. gay.

Hellbents in both 179cm and 189cm are officially sold out from K2. Last of both were ordered yesterday and the same for the Obsethed in those sizes as well. Proform will probably not happen this year on the Hellbent unless you ordered the 169cm.

sorry hold on. i gave you +karma for your reply, but i wasn't asking for an apology from you... i was talkin to jergriff....

hahahaha

sorry to jack thread but didnt feel like makinga new one...but anyone know how much the volkl bridges cost on proforms?

haha... sorry i was an ass hole i think i was in a bad mood... ! whaterr i dont want anyone hatin on me so my bad man...

wow, your proform deals over there are really slow. Granted we have no snow or mountains in the UK but I ordered a pair of two pairs of skis through BASI (British Association of Ski Instructors) on the equivalent of what you call proform yesterday and was told to expect them by Tuesday at the latest. Now all I need is the airfare.
