Orage masters

"Known as the anti-comp, the Masters was created to bring fun and excitement back into skiing and does so by offering a format that no other contest has been able to repeat".

This is what they say to sell/promote their event but word on the street is that they're asking each ski company a 10 000$ registration fee.

Ski companies already pay athletes, their traveling expenses, video segments and so on.

Now they have to pay to promote their competitor's events?

After ditching half their team riders last season, now this?

To me it looks like strange business ethics... No?

Looking forward to your comments.

The pro's are grouped by ski company so I assume they are the ones paying the registration fee. Orage makes outerwear so they're not really the compitition.

do you have any clue how much it costs to build a course....cat time, moving snow???? park crew, patrol???

or prizes?

most likely not....

It's the biggest ski party of the year they better make it fat with fees like that. Not to mention the huge promotions aspect and advertising the brands get out of participating.

slightly off topic

does anyone know how much mammoth makes off the orage masters? in terms of tourists?
