I have Canadian Satalite tv & it totally sucks

we get shit for sports. like tsn/sportsnet/extreme/oln are all controlled by the same empire & fox sports canada is only

soccer, fly fishing, rugby its the worst counrty for TV

umm, no. tsn is owned by bell canada. sportsnet is owned by rogers. extreme network is indirectly owned by global. they are canada's three biggest media conglomerates, and all own one of the three channels you mentioned.

Remember though, if we lived in the US we wouldn't get the World Jrs, the Memorial Cup, half the World Champs games (which admittedly sucked this year), a whole lot of NHL regular season stuff, and so on... Hockey is a decent tradeoff for two or three ski comps a year that can't be seen up here. Don't complain so much.

 
JD May i would disagree about the fair trade-off, but that would probably be due to the fact that i must be an abnormal Canadian (or it could be my american citizenship) but i never much cared for Hockey. Infact some of Canada's love for it sickens me.

chillonhill, are you sure about that? because my university mass communications textbook tells me you're dead wrong. i even spent...ahem, wasted 10 minutes googling whether rogers owns global/global owns rogers or not, because, hey, it just might have happened since i studied this very damn sort of thing this past semester. but alas, rogers does not have any affiliation with global. they are their own two entities. so in conclusion, chillonhill, you are wrong, and i am right.
