Orage Coat Sizing?

How big is a Large usually? I don't wanna end up buying something that's too tall or too short.

I'm 5'9". Pictures would be helpful.
 
which jacket are you looking at? a few of the jackets are consided "tall." also, their relaxed fit fits much different than the slim and regular fits. it varies by model. I'm 5'10 165lbs and have an xl relaxed fit/tall jacket that comes to mid thigh, and is generally loose everywhere if that helps you.
 
What series is it? Slim/reg/tall/relaxed? Relaxed is the biggest to my knowledge. I am 5'11" 155 and I have a large relaxed and it's big. It comes down to about mid thigh on me.

how can you tell what series it is? I've been looking at a bunch of coats, so i don't know what i'm gonna buy particularly yet.
 
It says on the tag and in the description online. If you look on orage's website you can search through each series.
 
I swear I mean this in the nicest way possible... but that does not look like the middle of your thigh...
 
If you want some reference for sizing, the Phil Casabon Pro Model is the biggest fit they make. Phil is 5"7 and wears 2xl. Watch any videos of him at X Games or whatever and you will see how it fits. Looks like a sick fit to me.
 
i'm 6'1 and i have the retallack in large. i believe it's their slim fit. it falls a little bit below my waist. i tried k*thomas' stuff on and it's mid thigh on me, size large shaper and xl tj coats. the shaper fits much nicer on me, since it's long, but not overly huge everywhere.
 
It definitely varies from series. I have an xxl baldwin which is regular i think and it comes down a little above my knees. Im only 5' 7" its a real sick jacket
 
Hahahaha, it really does come to the middle of my thigh. /The o;y camera i have in=s my gopro so it doesn't look like it but that jacket is huge for a large. It covers my ass so maybe just above mid-thigh but w/ever, it works for me. I thinks its dill.
 
It's zipper length 31.5 inches, for a relaxed fit large. Not huge, but baggy enough to be roomy. More fitted.
