Option snowboards?

Ok so going on the above post of you being a newb, yes Option would be a good snowboard for you. They're cheap, and you'll want a better one once you get better. Your best bet is not to get a top of the line snowboard (which Option is not) - then think about something more advanced once you get better.

um...

I beg to differ, options are very good depending on the model. any option which the msrp is lower than $500 is meant for beginners... those are the lower end ones made in China or at Elan like all low end snowboards

The higher end ones (Kevin Sansalone, Chris Dufficy, Kendra Starr pro models; this year's forecast, franchise, dufficy, and vinson) are well made with carbon fibreglass topsheets. the factory that makes them (12 minutes from my house) also makes Endeavour boards and I would say between last year's endeavors and options, option is better because endeavor used plastic topsheets and no carbon (endeavor switched to carbon fibreglass topsheets for this season). option has a high end true twin this year, the forecast.

I don't want to be a know it all, but I'm just saying I worked at the factory so I would probably have seen many dishonest goings-on or cutting corners!

whoops. actually 3 endeavors last year did have fibreglass topsheets. the addict, the paavo and their freeride board the name of which I forget now...

They make pretty good boards. The influence is more of a noobish board, but there other stuff is pretty nice.

They make the things with such care, whatch a vid of it if you can find one.

I have an axis, i would have loved the mirror but the big boots wouldnt let me
