Opinons on the Soloman 720's?

I'm looking at an ad for a pair of these for like 140. Making the switch to skis this season so these will be my first pair of skis. Ever. I'll probably use these for park with maybe a few runs on the slopes to warm up. But my main priorities are filming, and I catch edges way too much on a snowboard and I'm not trying to fall and fuck up my 1k+ cam. Opinions? The price isn't solid so lemme know.
 
Just gonna go ahead and take this thread seriously. If they're in good condition then go for 'em, especially if that $140 is with bindings. However they're probably old as fuck and it shouldn't be too hard to find a nicer pair of skis with bindings in the $250 range.
 
Heh those skis are really, really old and definitely not top of the line. But that makes them cool too because they're almost an antique haha. It seems kind of sketchy to me and I'd personally go for a newer ski but other people might think differently, pretty late to get many replies right now. And I noticed they're 160cm length which might be a bit short, how tall/heavy are you?
 
This is true, I had a pair of mine back in the day and I still do but they are 140's. Super Flexible, Overall I enjoyed them when I fit them, you can't go wrong for 140 with bindings, just make sure the bindings will adjust to your boot size. There are skis out there that are newer for maybe a little more but if your just filming and doing the odd runs I don't see why these wouldn't do the job.
 
nice, i tried those guys out a while back. i'm still using skis that are literally a decade old, the line skogen sprangs from 2000 and theyre fiine. only thing i'll say is if i remember correctly, the 720 doesnt have a very big tail on it, those were made back when companies still made some skis with normal tips and tiny little tails
 
THOSE SKIS SUCK!

dont get um. that was my first "twintip" ski, like 10 years ago. the tail is almost non existent, a Rossi Bandit literally has more tail height. even if they are in good shape, they really arent worth it if you wanna ski park. they are a low end, foam core ski with extruded bases. if your just worried about filming, then yea, theyd work, but i wouldnt recommend them for anything remotely serious
 
yeah i just realized i didnt really write anything of value in my post besides the small tails... they were a lower end ski and like this guy said have a foam core and shitty bases etc. then again, jp auclair used them a little bit.. haha
