what did you guys think of the setup today? and does anyone know if there will be anything new by tomorrow?

it was like 15 degrees up there during the day. thats pretty sweet for the time of the year.

i thought the set up was sick. i had a lot of fun just hiking the features cause my only complaint was that the line was long as hell.

Total legitness..

from top to bottom runs like this

20ft single barrel rail set up urban style maybe 1.5-2 inch round steel or urban style 20 foot down box or a baby little jib

then a flat box or roll into choice of a 20ft or 25ft jump..25 ft jump hard to clear with speed and the lip needs to be a bit bigger but still way fun. 20ft is perfect..

into a nice fun sized hip...

also some butter boxes in there too..

ill be dropping an edit in an hour or two

I don't really know if at this point you could say if either one was better. I was pumped to be on snow all weekend! Camelback had jumps, but Boulder didn't groom Boulder Park and it was powdery hand-drag city. I know I'll get hate for saying powdery, but coming from Blue Mountain it sure did seem like it. Both mountains had some real fun features setup, a great vibe, and treated their customers to cheap if not free riding. Everyone wins! Just judging from the edit Camelback definitely made big moves, and after seeing how they stepped up on their first day I'm stoked to see what they do this season.

sorry, this is a lil off topic, but jerrad, where you in the blue pants and oakley jacket. ive seen you twice and forgot your name, sorry. i was wearing the orange survival pant and big ol jacket

aka. Puffy white dress.

So stoked to see Boulder get some competition. Boulder will step it up to stay ahead of the game. Matt, I truly doubt that Camelback will be able to build legit jumps.

My opinion? I wish Boulder had push up some lips for jumps, on the other hand with the shear volume in traffic, they would have been trashed in no time at all.

CBK was super legit and super fun. Will's really turning it around. Looking at it as objectively as possible, CBK had Boulder topped. Boulder real legit too, but a lot of stuff was sticky. I can't wait til Boulder is up and running at full steam.

Camelback looked pretty sick but IDK if it looked better than Boulder. Depends on how bad you wanted to hit jumps I guess.

I was a little annoyed that Boulder was blowing snow on EVERYTHING. I wish they would blow during the week earlier in the day since they don't open until 3. It's such a bitch to ride when its blowing.

Friday was epic tho!! Same setup with no blowing.

boulder was a lot of fun. it wouldve been amazing if they had at least a little jump up though. and the fact that they were blowing snow kinda sucked too. i really wanted to make a video over the weekend. and also the bottom half of my face is all flaky now lol

Boulder was super fun, but now I kinda wished I went to CBK for one day at least. I would of liked to hit that jump, CB looks legit this year.
