Opinions on the new halo game

I’ve been a halo player since I got my Xbox at 12 years old and I just bought halo infinite and absolutely love it. I’d give the multiplayer a 9/10 and the campaign a 10/10 what do my fellow Xbox gamers think of it?
 
It needs forge. OG zombies, rocket race, grifball, soccer/hockey, and all those custom modes/maps spawned from forge and somehow, that's absent from this one. I'm glad they got rid of the armor abilities at the start and custom loadouts.
 
Feels souless. Released with way less shit than any halo in the past 15 years. Servers suck. Btb doesn't work. Cash grab progression and a predatory "free" battlepass.

But they got the "feels like halo and looks like halo" part right.
 
I was very excited for launch. I am much less excited after a month of playing it
 
Campaign was alright, I thought there would be more story to the side missions. Probably done playing it unless they add more to it.

Multi-player is fun. Would really like a reconnect button because for some reason I disconnect a lot which is annoying for ranked. I wish each gametype had a ranked version. Need more maps in ranked.

I give almost zero fucks about armor so the bullshit money grab stuff doesn't bother me.

Agreed on the campaign stuff. I’m pretty sure they’re gonna keep adding new content which is good but hopefully it’s a lot
 
The grapple shot absolutely fucks. Definitely some disappointing performance issues but I’ve been playing it since launch and really enjoy it.

Going from infinite grapple shot in campaign to limited grapples really fucks me up if I play to much campaign

Yeah it fucked me up too. After playing through the campaign I think 80% of my kills were with the grapple shot hahah.

Bought an xbox just to play on saturday. Kinda disappointed, but still really enjoying it. Just feels like it's missing a lot right now. If anyone's tryna play hit me up

Just finished up the campaign and all the the world missions after.

I enjoyed it for the most part even though it was pretty repetitive throughout the whole thing.

8/10 for the campaign.

Haven't played much mp yet but i'll get into some this week.
 
Game is great! Missing a lot of content and the store is absolute shit show but the gameplay is really satisfying and fun. The campaign was super fun and its super replay-able. I would say worth the 60$ that I payed for it. I recommend it for anyone who enjoyed it during the halo 3 days but it does need more (firefight, more armor, better battlepass, etc.)
 
I stopped playing when you could no longer destroy your own teammates' shields and get them pissed off enough to where they kill you and you boot them out of the game for betrayal.

Yes the lack of friendly fire and collisions is stupid. The friendly fire is selective, you seem to be able to run friendlies over but you can't do anything else to them. Likewise, you can walk through people. They did this to prevent stupid behavior but it affects game mechanics. Now there is no fear of friendly fire by grenade or rocket spam at a location which means that every time you engage an enemy, you can expect the other team to spam grenades with 0 regard for their own teammates safety. The grenades are annoying.

played it last night, it's dope

i'm told friendly fire is on in ranked and off in social but it's immaterial to me, if i blast you with a nade you shouldn't've been standing there dood
