Opinions on the bar

The bubble is ok i guess..i just hate it when the bubble is foggy or they put it down on a -2 day

Isn't the cold wind protection part of its purpose? Why wouldn't you want it down on - 2?

I went to Grouse Mountain in Vancouver, and everytime I rode up with someone else the bar came flying down and smacked me in the back of the head....

Real reason you should wear a helmet right there haha.

I assume he's using the normal system of measurement for temparature and not the fucked up Farenheit system we use in this backwards hicktown of a country?

ABasin is getting a new Pali chair and the big debate was whether or not to add a bar and every local was so heated.

That just shows how fucking stupid people are about literally any change. If you cry about a bar being added to a lift I fucking hate you.

Everything was better when I was a kid, fuck all these young millenials, rabble rabble get off my lawn!

Workedas a liftee on a hill next to a major highway in Canada last season. Here we seem to be required at least by management, (not sure if we have any laws prohibiting keeping your bar up) so I’ve always put it down everywhere, just cuz it’s there.

Working in the middle of the city means 90% of the guests can’t ski, and I think 2 people fell when I was there working a different lift, we have a problem with people lifting the bar too early and with our frequent stops (again no one can ski here) people lean forward just about to exit the lift and fall 20 breaking their legs so it was always stressed they’re over the nets or on the exit plateau before they lift the bar.

I ride with the bar down.

lol I remember being a little kid and they had just put the first chair with a bubble in verbier. It was easily 40 degrees Fahrenheit but I thought it was so damn cool so I put the bubble down with 5 random Middle Aged hardcore swissies...the looks I got crack me up to this day

This has happened to me as well, the swiss people actually get so passive agressive. They just look at you with that sense of disapproval.

In Europe everyone puts the bar down. You warn tall people, or people with gopros.

I had the bar randomly fall down on me as a kid when riding the lift and have not trusted them since. If someone else puts it down then whatever I guess it's safe but I'll never put it down cause fuck that thing

Do you mean the bar fell off? Because if it just fell and hit you , wouldn't it make more sense to put it down so it cant fall down?

It fell down in front and spooked me. It's not a rational fear for sure. Just makes me uncomfortable
