Opinions Needed K+ (peacock keeping me awake at night)

My neighbors have a new peacock and the damn thing keeps me up all night, it makes this loud meowing sound all hours of the night. Anyone who has been to the zoo has to know my pain. This thing is literally 30-40ft from my bedroom and I haven't slept in to my alarm which is a terrible 7am.

Here is my dilemma; my neighbor who owns it is a veterinarian, and I have asked him politely to put it inside at night so I could sleep. Naturally he declined to let the loudest peacock in the world to live in his house at night so I come to you NS.

What should I do? I am being kept up, I'm about to call the sherif/animal control and see what I'm legally entitled to do. I live on unincorporated land if that helps.

I'm so damn close to putting a .22 into it

Any ideas/anyone had to deal with a neighbor's barking dog?
 
call the police its as easy as that, explain the situation, they will make him either put it inside or get rid of it.

Just got off the phone with the sherif and filed a complaint. To do anything I pretty much need to take them to municipal court with another witness from a separate house or a video which is stupid. He told me it was going to be my word against theirs, and they would most likely be given a warning.

Do you think it would be animal cruelty if I just killed it? poison is out since he is a vet and could probably test for that...
