next i bet you guys are gonna try to say that lip on blind 2 isn't the only trick.

To quote a legend "TheGreenRoom"

"I don't want to have to do triples to be cool, i want to be able to do sweet as nose butter threes like delorme and lsm...

LSM

The bunch just the sickest ive ever seen. i forgot what its called but its sick. LSM is in that too and he slays. He does this mad straight air, and that i think is super progressive.

We should have a style based comp, where we have bowls and spine trannys, I was thinking Les Arcs? I would invite candide, of course LSM and adam delorme, and john brogan and abm and a couple more steeze. Not torin cause he's lame as am i right?"

Why the fuck are the bunch even popular? A fucking hand drag shuffle 180 isn't a trick. I'd rather watch Nick Goepper do a fucking text book triple with no style than these gay swedish fucks spinning around on their mittens and wearing their shitty little hoods. They are the worst sponsored skiers I have ever seen in my life. I'm not hating on those guys personally because I'm sure they are great dudes, but I just fucking hate how they ski.

these replies are hilarious. i fucking love the bunch. i think they're doing something different, taking a non-linear approach to skiing. i think skiing needs more of that. plus they got tha fattest butters around besides maybe kieran and delorme

Watching them ski in real life is astonishing. They really look at the hill in a different way than anybody else. And they know how to flex a ski harder than anybody ive ever seen

I don't even know if the people above are trolling or not.

@op, you said in vid that most of what the bunch does isn't mind-blowing. Maybe we have very different views, but this edit right here (woulda been my all time favourite if the filming was a bit better, and especially a better song...) is made of 100% of bangers. Seriously. More than half of this stuff is totally new, and has more style than Delorme and young Dumont put together.

I mean what the fuck. Everything in that edit is pure creativity mixed with style and wizardry.

The bunch, imo, is the best thing to ever happen to freeskiing in the past few years. Sure, a trip 10 with a mute is impressive, but I never really liked the spin more flip more aspect of freeskiing, brought by comps. I'm all for comps, gets skiers sponsored, money, but to me it's a different sport. Being able to land a slopestyle run perfectly, with back to back doubles and perfectly executed pretz 4 outs on any given weather is impressive, and I admire all those who do it. But to me, it shouldn't be called freeskiing anymore, but gymnastic skiing (you get the idea). There is still an element of style in comps, but most of the time even grabs are executed in order to get more points, depending on the difficulty of the grab.

I was never in freeskiing for this shit. Maybe because I'm more of an all mountain skier, leaning towards big bc lines rather than huge park kickers. The bunch is bringing back the style, the creativity, that started freestyle skiing. And they're taking it to another level of awesomeness. Yes, to me a massive butter 3 to tail pressed rail slide is MUCH more enjoyable to watch than a sw dub 12. What the bunch does is exactly why I love freeskiing. The park is their canvas, and they'll paint whatever the fuck they feel that looks and feels the best to them, and I feel exactly the same way.

I feel sorry for those who say that they're getting too much love/exposure/sponsors when we rarely see dubs in their edits, and that most of what they do isn't that impressive technically (you guys must be real good too, cos half the shit they do I have no idea how they pull it off), if for you freeskiing is all about the spins, the amount of air, yeah, I feel sorry that you're not enjoying what freeskiing really is.

The bunch is the Candide of park that I've been waiting for. If there is maybe one aspect that I can criticise is their perpetrating of the g look, leaning towards the hood crew attitude. Don't get me wrong, I love to shred the park in XXL, trying to look as steezy as possible, but it's just sad that people outside of the freeskiing world will automatically think "ah, fucking pot smokers dressing like clowns and blasting horrible rap thinking what they do is cool". But if that's really what the bunch likes to do, and not just an appearance they give themselves, then fine by me.

Freeskiing is too damn good to let appearances be important. Leave that shit to skateboarders.

You're my hero.

the bunch are the shit

when you say skiing is about consistency and perfecting tricks I think repitiion and training and then skiing becomes boring.

Look up the B&E Invitational

I commented on the video, but I figure I'd give a more in depth response here since I thought more about the subject. As I stated earlier, certain members stomp their tricks, and others flex or shuffle theirs. Certain people may prefer different styles over others, but I think regardless of what people may think they are positive for skiing as a whole. They show individuality is needed for progression. Even Creation Nation, for example was an incredible way to give back to the sport.

I disagree with the statement that they haven't pushed the sport. Finito will show anyone who's doubting whether the progression is there what's truly up. Lastly, I really like Freed's statement, they don't need skiing, but skiing needs them.

i like brunch, it's formal and classy. i like it mostly for the large selection of food. like when else can you have waffles AND fresh salmon?

The bunch have become one of my favorite crews in skiing. They're unique, and super fun to watch. Also, they throw down hard in the streets, and whether what they do is on purpose or not, I'm impressed. In my opinion, they could be the next stept. Maybe not everything will be a 630 disaster on, but I don't think you can deny that there was some gnarly urban going down in finess. They all have such great style and like chubz said, it's a ton of fun to try to ski around like them

you hate em cause you ain't em, skiings not about popularity, are forefathers were breaking away from the regulated they wanted to be free from judgement. Skiing is art in my opinion before it is a sport. Style can't be judged, it is an expression of yourself. And the thing for me is a i can do double lincolns for days but I can't imagine buttering on my noses the way they do in the bunch, I am all in personally. Progression isn't just competition, Think about it, the best you can be is you. Be you, not who someone else says is you. If you are really good at skiing and can benefit of the comp scene and thats fun for you I respect your style because you have fun. And isn't that what skiing or NEWschool is all about? Not what is popular but what is fun?

The bunch is fresh air in skiing. They're the guys pushing it in a new direction. The exposure they're getting is totally deserved because everything they put out is original. Just look at Bardolino, if that shit came out tomorrow people would still be saying how progressive it is.

I like to think the Bunch defies physics. They do some pretty wack stuff out there. The style of the riders and filming is original. If you would rather watch triples in 1080p from a helicopter, go for it, not my style but if its yours thats fine. If your into close up shots fast skiing and crazy things youve never seen before, get to the Bunch's Vimeo. So much fresh stuff coming out of there. So so hyped for Finito. If your hating on the Bunch then you might as well hate on the HG skis crew, I think the two best parts in less, even crews like the Trashparty and even more dudes. But if youd rather be in or watch the xgames none of my business.

Man, I think all the hate against The Drop video is wack.

Quote from The Drop video "Maybe its not my style." Says it all right there

Not everyone has to like the same things. The very reason why most people are hating on The Drop is for the same reason most people are advocating for The Bunch; showing their personal opinion and style. The Bunch are doing it through their personal style of skiing in front of a camera, and these guys are doing it talking in front of a camera.

So, I think the complete condemnation of an opposing viewpoint is dumb. As much as you may enjoy what The Bunch does, that does not mean that everyone else has to.

Good on them for sharing their opinion, although it may be unpopular, and I personally like what The Bunch is doing in large part.

I'll leave with another quote from the video "At the same time, I'm really glad they exist because of the way they are pushing the sport."

I immediately regret waiting to watch Peyben in the Park until today. I just watched it and holy shit it was some of the most creative skiing I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it, stop what you're doing and fucking watch it right now!

Probably the best edit they've made to date. I remember watching this 3 years ago and being blown away, and I still am today. The flow and styling is downright incredible.

I like the bunch when they are combining their entire skiing talent with creativity and doing some cool shit. When they are doing stupid wishy washy shuffle things that aren't impressive and not hard and then getting hype and people saying, "wow, so creative and stylish. The bunch is the future"

what is it that you don't like about them?

I don't have anything personal against them, I've met a few of them and they're cool guys but I don't like how most of their tricks aren't even hard or impressive and they still get hundreds of upvotes and a ton of hype

Hard? Maybe not. Although there's definitely some tricks that are damn difficult. Impressive? That's entirely subjective. I would say that doing tricks that no one else thought of doing is very impressive. Your last point about the upvotes sounds like purely jealousy.

There pretty cool, but there are a bunch (hehhehe see what I did there) guys at local hill that have the style but throw down waaaaaaay bigger tricks. Not gonna lie they're cool just not insane.

I can't fucking stand their style even though I know my opinion isn't really justified. You can't argue with the fact that they are really doing something different.

Do I think that the Bunch is sick? Yes. Do i think that what they are doing is creative? Yes. I do think that they are over-hyped though. This edit herehttps://vimeo.com/132158393 , is very similar to the bunch and does not get the thousands of views that the bunch does. Some edits that they make are really good, and have music that has a good flow (ex. Peyben in the park. For the most part their music/song choice is kinda bad ( All Day). I enjoy watching most of their movies and edits.

That edit came out earlier today yo, I hope it blows up cause steezy feezy is a killa. And dude watch Far Out or Finess and tell me they have bad music, every single song in both movies was gold. They use a huge variety of tunes so of course some people wont't like some of it, people are different.

The bunch is the truth, h8rs can suck it.

Far out and finess are both really dope movies and I love watching them, I guess it came across that I was judging my opinion off of that one edits music, and I now realized that pretty much all of the music that they use in their edits is sick.

I'm not a fan of the whole wavey arm movement thing. Especially LSM.When I was learning to ski park everyone told me to stop flailing my arms because it looked shit. So I worked on not having crazy arm movement now LSM and the bunch come out with all this flailing hand bullshit and now it's all like OMG SO MUCH STYLE. Just goes to provve that "style" is a bullshit conception.

so it seems like there are 3 reason people don't like the bunch

a. too many people like them

2. they listen to some music you don't enjoy

D. they have arms

there is a difference between flailing your arms because you don't have shit for control and letting your arms flow with your skiing. the former looks like shit, and the latter also looks like shit if you're not good at it. but i think the bunch have it down just fine.
