Opinion on Pow skis- Hellbents

So I am a big guy at about 210 pounds and 5'11 and in the market to buy a powder ski. I currently ski on 176 ARV's and just find that their floatation and powder skiing abilities dont cut it. A friend of mine is selling some 2010 189 Hellbents and I am just a little worried about the length. Whether I will be able to handle it, being that they are so tall. They will be primarily used for purely deep powder so I dont care about their all mountain versatility.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated, mostly concerned around length and some +K if I get around to it.
Cheers,
Davis

I've heard good things, but at 210 pounds there is a high chance you will overpower them as they are quite soft. I would reccomend something like a volkl chopstick, atomic bentchetler and other mid flex pow skis. People tend to love on3p caylors, whilst i have no experience with them i'm sure they are great too.

+1 for the caylors. They're playful but you can still really push them hard and not worry about overpowering them. Plus ON3P has a presale going on for a few more days I think

the length won't be a problem, but the flex might be too soft for a guy your size. go with something stiffer.

You'll be fine on 189's. At your height and weight, that's a pretty ideal ski. 189 obSETHed is also a good option...but since you are wanting a ski for pure deep pow, go HellBent.
