OPERATION IVY

why? just download it if you can't find their CD ANYWHERE.

ps. they've got some really good songs, unity anyone?

1. I dont steal music. 2. The record company lost the rights to the label so its not on sale anywhere. 3. My friend tried downloading it and said he couldnt find any songs that are even good enough to listen to quality wise...

Operation Ivy is a sweet band that played in like small venues and Tim Armstrong (Rancid) is in the band. They are sweet and I want their cds. They are supposed to have released a remastered version on May 1st but I cant find that either. Thats why I want to buy it here.

They have almost all their songs posted as Mp3's on their website. And there's a broken link to torrents, so I don't think they'd consider it stealing if you downloaded their songs.

And here's the info on the reissue:

If you don't want to wait and you still don't want to download the songs, you will probably have better luck looking on ebay for it than on here.

thanks for the info...Yeah I never checked their site (probably should have looked there first) but I saw a thread about favorite bands and alot of people posted that they liked them so I figured Id give it a shot. They do have their cds on amazon for $30 but I dont really want to spend that for a cd.

def one of my favorite bands, but I wouldn't feel too bad about downloading it if I were you, since they broke up and Tim Armstrong and Matt what-his-name (the bass player) are makin a buttload of cash off of Rancid. download som Op Ivy, and then go and check out Common Rider, which is Jesse Michaels, Op Ivy vocalist's band.

yeah i know they are making a ton of money, and tim armstrong has the transplants too but i just dont like downloading stuff, I like having the original cds (kinda have a collection going)

Matt Freeman? Ya, check out Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards also, Lars Frederiksen (guitar/vocals in Rancid) has a similar feel to Rancid. I think I lost my Op Ivy cd somewhere which is too bad, but thankfully its on my computer. Also, check out Tim Armstrong's new solo cd on Rancid's myspace; www.myspace.com/rancid because it has some good songs, and is free.
