Opening day??

so when is opening day cuz i've heard a couple things..

will it really be opening the day after halloween??
 
Only if it is cold enough for them to blow snow. Think cold! Mt Snow is wanting to open at that same time too.
 
^last I heard from him he wasnt sure yet. But if he is thats awesome, goooood for brogzy, he's gonna blow up quick out there
 
i am incredibly stoked for boulder opening day. ive also heard that boulder park is helping out with mt. snows park from a friend up there. if this is true i would definitely love to take a trip up there
 
that makes two of us. last year was the first time i've ever been to mount snow, and i would definitely like to go back...especially since this year corinthia is all park i believe.
 
im in for going to Mount Snow!! just as long as its not the first weekend of november..

I was there once and the vibe was sweet (granted that was like 5 years ago and I was just a noob little snowboarder at the time)

Mannnnn i can't wait for opening day. It's going to be soooo sick!!!! Hope the penn state game is away that weekend tho...
 
Other than a PSU game being a great time, they dont have a good game left on their schedule after this week. So skiing, or medicore football game were enroute Penn State will win the National Championship.
 
if anyone is going to come up to mt. snow this weekend or next weekend, hit me up. i should be there both days next weekend, and maybe one day this weekend, not quite sure.

 
my brother and i are planning on going to mt snow next weekend. we might go up sometime during the week too if theyre not only open on weekends. our school has off during the entire first week of november, its fuckin awesome
 
i would say probably wait till the 8th to come up, because this weekend was fun, but not worth the drive from NJ.
temps do not look cold enough for them to legitimately open.
 
ahh, sucks that they just closed mt snow. i was considering the roundtop railjam but i realized its almost a 4 hour drive lol. and kevin, im also stoked to ski with you again this season to see you do some more sick tricks and make me feel bad about myself lol

Mount Snow posted some videos up on their website. Looks like they just had a few rails set up, I can't make the drive all the way up there for that though. Last year I went up, like I think it was the same week that boulder opened and they had a ton of rails up, a pretty large jump, and a ton of other trails. Mount Snow is a great mountain and not that far compared to other VT mountains.

But I really hope Big Boulder opens the saturday after halloween.

nahh homie i live ten mins from boulder and we easily got three inches now and its going to add up to about six by the end of the day today. Its good snow to, all wet and packy and fluffy. Boulder should definitly take advantage of this and start blowwing today with the snow they naturally have and theyd prolly be able to open by this weekend. I hope, thatid be sick. if they dont open ill kill my dog or something bad so they better.
 
anybody know whats going on? i also heard lake harmony is getting a lot of snow - possibly opening this weekend?

oh god. if boulder doesnt open, i will be soo upset. i saw pics on their site and it just got my hopes up so much
 
i doubt they're gonna open this weekend..most of the snow will be gone and i don't think it will be cold enough to sustain snow blowin..not trying to bring everyone's hopes down, just tryin to be realistic
 
ah yep.. I am hearing things.. Lots of hallucinogenics in the 70's have permanently scarred me...

Its' hard to sometimes distinguish reality from fantasy. I swear I could feel the earth shaking and hear the clatter of tracks. All I know is what I know and what I know is that it has to stay cold. I got my gear ready to go, I suggest that everyone do the same. Fingers crossed..

 
so i know the rome pre-jibulation jam is like the saturday after thanksgiving i mean i snowboard too so im deff gunna be doing it but im assuming its not open to skiers???
 
never really noticed becuase ive been snowboarding in them. eh i say crash it anyways ill be bringing my skis lol
 
Its not looking good as we get closer.. Boulder is creative and if it is cold enough to blow some they will do the best they can do. The 7 day really sucks from NOAA.gov

That sucks. Thanks for the update, even though the weather last year was lame, mountains were open by now, hopefully the late start means lots of snow to come.

it looks pretty promising, everytime i check the weather its colder than before. ive got my fingers crossed
 
pray for super cold weather through the day and night and they might be able to push up something small to jump over.. I wouldn't expect it though. It just depends on how cold and for how long. they have a huge amount of fire power
 
How was the setup this past weekend? Any news on whats in store for next weekend? Its a pretty long drive for me, but it has always been worth it.
