Opening Day?

AnI would say around early Dec

But you never know maybe even late November, but in reality nobody knows.

If i were you I would just be pumped on this years swap. Its has a date of Nov 1 and 2nd and its going to be a blast. Gettin to see everybody, checkin out the new gear, maybe buying some new stuff. Getting to see some new ski and board flicks. Its always a good time.

Andddd im not to sure when they are but the movie nights should be real sick also. nothin like sittin around watchin some of the best new ski and board films with the perfects "crew"

Yeah i took some pics last night of our construction on the new rails and what not, and later today i'll try and post them up... i got a little crazy on the Rainbow rail and painted a mountain esc scape on the site and mostly it looks pretty sick but i need to do some touch up. Suzy (the s-rail for those out of the loop) is getting put back together and lookin' pretty sick. I think that you'll all be really excited to see her out an about this year... i don't think i mentioned what we're doing to her but i think i'll wait until you see her.

Later,
Tad

So i didn't have much luck on the post above, but anyway perhaps several of you might be able to figure out the big "surprise" on Suzy, but i'm still not gonna come out and say it just yet... don't know why but i'm just not gonna. So anywho there are also some pics of the new rainbow, they aren't the most recent photos, but you get the gist. The right side with the rounded mountains actually has sharp mountains now without the bad fade job in the white. The other side is similar but with a few more peaks. Eh whatever you can tell what's going on.

So a low down on the rail... 22' Rainbow with i think 24' radius so its pretty big and pretty mellow. It should be super fun, and pretty sweet. It has 8" of UHMW in the middle of 2" coping so its about a foot wide, with rounded corners... i don't know i really like it and i think it should be pretty fun.

Tell me what you think.

So i just realized that might be a bit confusing, the top two pics, are of Suzy... not the Rainbow box, just thought i should show you what we've been working on.

haha I did the same thing, I looked at it and thought to myself thats a fucking wide as box or tad got smaller.. but thats so sick I cant wait to hit all of these.. mind if I come pick those up and use them as my summer(fall) set up?

You'd need a full flat bed semi to move Suzy, and even then you'd probably need like a wideload permit or something... she's huge....

Tad

ok, well how about we just set up shop somewhere on audition.. well clean up afterwards!

no? guys tads said it before somewhere, or said he might do it.. he put a rail on both side so you can turn the rail upside down and grind it the other way.. sorry to ruin the suprise?

This guy wins the prize. And she's almost done. We have one more panel of skirting to weld on, and then just clean her up, primer and paint her.

We should work out a summer rail release program where we have a drawing to see who gets which rails and the deal is you can slide them all you want in the summer at your house but before the season rolls around they have to be repainted to Perfect's specs so they are ready to put out. We provide the rail, you provide, snow, and a repaint and they are yours for the summer... oh and you have to arrange transport... haha that would probably be the deal breaker.
Tad

wow just think, hours apon hours of wire weelin time gone, no more sore hands, not having to breath in all the dirt from old paint or paint fumes themselfs when repainting.

I think I kinda like this deal, as long as I dont win haha

heres the news on the rail jam if its cold enough to make snow there might be a jam if it isnt sold enough to make snow there wont be a jam

I make no guarentees, but i will tell you that Suzy already has a skirt and she's primed and ready for a fresh coat of shiny, so if that is any indication she should be READY to go out in December, however who knows what the season will bring weather wise. Rainbow rail got the other side painted today so it is complete except for bolting on the plastic to the top of it. Should be really fun and i think it looks pretty rad, but what do i know.

Tad

Thanks Scharff. So we did make some pretty killer progress tonight on the rails, at least it seems like it to me. freeski_shaggy and billups, painted the Suzy's skirt blue, while i finished welding a new top on the old 10' rail that usually resides in Jam Session. Which i think will be pretty cool. It is still only 10' but now it has one of Perfect's signature box tops, so it's 12" wide with 2" round coping. It sits about the same height as the old one, but i think it will be a bit more friendly. Then once that was welded we wire-wheeled it and the guys primed it as well as got the skirting painted blue. Then they wire-wheeled the other similar rail that is the 16' i believe, and they painted the top of it. So we're plugging right away on the rails and it won't be long and you'll all get to use them.

Soon on the agenda we're going to take the rails off of the staircase and get them ready for use as individuals, then we plan on having the C-Box back in commission this season. The 30' tall rail should be back as well, the 30' box is getting a new single sheet of UHMW. Double Kink is gonna get some serious lovin' because she's been abused and desperately longs to be whole again.... i can't think what else right now... oh yeah several new rails for Jam Session as well as the beginner area, including a piece of snowmaking pipe, which should be fun, some new pretty snazzy barrels, doubles and maybe even triple tall ones. I can't think of what else... oh the Trap... the trap will be the last rail we finally get to, but the hope is that we do get to it. We hope to make it a "PFC" rail meaning we get to decorate it in a Pink Flamingo Fashion, to advertise and to just have it look cool. I am at this point making no guarantees about the trap just because time is getting thin, but it is a goal of all of ours to have it done, sometime this season. As always i listen to all of your suggestions, some with a grain of salt, but none-the-less if you have a great idea you think we need to do feel free, but know that it might have to be on next season's agenda do to time constraints. We love simple ideas, that don't cost much.

I just woke up and I still have a pretty killer headache from the amount of paint fumes I inhaled last night.

^painful headache means you got shit done and there will be plenty more of them from now til the season starts

That's the best feeling when you get a brown box, and you know exactly what it is, whether it be skis, bindings or outerwear. i love it
