The opening tracking shot was gorgeous. Looks like it was a single take from the car to the roof drop.

Stept, how'd you film that? How many takes? How did you get the camera to the roof? Crane?

Props guys! The Eighty Six was a work of art.

Oh, skiing was nutty too.

was the sickest thing , all the songs were on point too ,the transition between riders were crazy.

I watched it again yesterday and forgot how sick it was

There's some complicated stuff in there. And not only the camera work. The riders' movements in and out of frame must have taken a ton of rehearsal.

 
i may have missed something from last season, but why no nick, alex, or warnick? Probably one of the best ski films I have seen though
 
first thing i thought of was the famous one take scene from goodfellas....stept executed it just as flawlessly as scorsese did...big ups guys!!!

I also do, it's pretty clear they didn't merge shots together, lots of ways that it'd be impossible. Also my bet is they just used a basket crane, I know they've used them before, which is why there's the ~10 second delay at the top of the ladder, using the waiting for seany to cover that time, while they're either lining up the crane or getting off the basket.
 
haha yes clearly they didnt merge, you can definitely say that, because you have eagle eyes. whatever they did, it was sick, i thought they spliced shots together (thats what I would have done) but they did something different. you kids need to fuck off.

I think I'm misunderstanding the part they were implying was merged, nevertheless not really something to get pissed about.
 
the opening credits, where its obviously someone walking with a glide cam, then its all of a sudden rising like its on a crane then its someone walking with a glide cam again. It sounds like someone nailed it, they used like a cherry picker to carry the filmer up. it makes sense. i didnt think about that before and also noticed they do quick fast forward shots alot which is where one could easily merge shots together.

basement dweller actually starts at 30k, so that was along time ago. the first kid was whatever, but then magnus or whatever had to come in, then the other kid put the icing on the cake. not once was i negative in this thread (on the contrary i was very positive) until some little cunts had to come ruin it. Whatever.
