There are a lot of threads about specific college questions from individuals and personal stuff.
this is gonna be just an open talk about colleges threads. post and answers no particular guideline to follow by.
Just talk about easy colleges to get into, party life, skiing, money, majors, professors, campus's college in general.
i dont think this is a repost?
idk hopefully it isnt a fail.
i know i have a lot of questions and im sure there are tons of other people shitting their pants about college as well
 
and to start things off anybody get into the University of Utah on here?
if so what grades did you have? community service? etc.
 
I ended up wih about a 3.0gpa for the first semester, and i've got A's in all my classes second semester. I'm at the U of U.

All I can say is that the food sucks, the education is shallow, the professors are hunch-backed anti-social semi-intellectuals, the administration makes arbitrary changes to random things for no reason, and there is a dry campus policy.

On the other hand, the Grad students, if you happen to get one as a teacher, are fucking fantastic at teaching and as people, the housing is great, the library is good, there's a strong sustainability movement going on, as well as some great civil stuff on campus, the artsy people are not as unbearable as up in PC, and you can bike everywhere on campus and its all cool.

I'm transferring to Hamilton for Sophomore year.
 
Just working on all of these goddamn essays right now...

aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. this stuff is so lame. esp. the financial aid stuff......
 
projects are just so damn awesome. I've got one of those teachers who believes you don't have any class but theirs, so they just assign a shitload of work under the idea that we have nothing better to do
 
maybe i was misunderstood but i was wondering what GPA it took you to get into the U of U
