o yeah, all my friends that work in shops get free passes to the local hills here. granted we live in wisconsin, but can also get free passes to hills out west

Its a shop pass. No b.s. I get them for being a tech too. Where you get them to all depends on your shop. My shop is in Las Vegas, but its a corporation so we have stores near a lot of different areas.
I get free passes to Brian Head, Las Vegas ski and snoboard resort, Bear Mtn., Snow Summit, and Canyons. I get super discounted tickets to pretty much every where else in CA, or UT.
You generally have to show a paystub to prove you are a current employee of the shop.

i'm a ski instructor. i basically get in free anywhere, anytime if i plan ahead and get my boss to call ahead for me.

it just depends on the deals your shop has going with the different resorts.
If not, your shop sucks, go work at a better one.
