••Chips In Your Skis••

Hi there fellow Newschoolers is it bad or are there any disadvantages to having a lot of chips in your skis like some pretty rough sidewalls or some gouges here and there ?

That’s just typical of every pair of skis that’s got some use in them so I wouldn’t worry about it.

If the chips really bother you that much, you can fill them with epoxy.

base damage can be fixed a p-tex candle.

Honestly, unless it's really bad, I don't think it will make a difference in the performance of your ski.

Ptex works well but after two seasons its not worth it.

As long as they’re not down to the core you’re good brotha

Ptex works well but after two seasons its not worth it.

I fix all my topsheet chips with 2 part epoxy. The issue with leaving chips is water can get in there and freeze and make it worse.

Doesnt really matter unless you’re super OCD or something

If they can still slide on snow they are fine.
