Ontario Freestyle Championships

FYI, NCD Freestyle is hosting the Ontario Freestyle Championships Feb. 26-27 at Camp Fortune. Big air is Saturday and moguls are Sunday.

Check out www.ncdfreestyle.com/OntProvincialChamps2005-INVITATION.doc for more details.

Don't hesitate to send me an e-mail (mjcrichton@hotmail.com) if you have any questions.

Just so you guys are aware, spots are filling up quickly for the event.

In order to guarantee a spot, I would recommend registering in advance, as we will have to cap the number of participants at around 60. Just fill out the 1-page form at the end of the invitation and e-mail it to the registrar ASAP. For division, put your hometown, and for coach put N/A. If you wish to compete in bumps, you'll need a coach, so speak to me personally about that.

Looks like we're having to cut off registration for the time being because we're over our maximum number of participants of 60. We're sorry that we have to do this, but it would be next to impossible to get through two jumps in one day with any more athletes. Same goes for moguls, which takes even longer.

I still recommend coming to the event on the 26th because it should be an excellent show and spots might open up if people pull out or get injured.

Price is $60, but it includes a pizza dinner and (hopefully) some door prizes.

Mike

Just to let you know, I have been advised now that all athletes who are competing must have registered CFSA insurance. This means you'll need to have the CFSA registration form (which is available athttp://www.freestyleski.com/pdf/Membershipform_04_EN.pdf) completed and signed by you (and your parent if under 18) upon registration Saturday morning. There's also a $30 fee with it, which will be in addition to the $60 entrance fee and $20 refundable bib deposit. (Remember, your entrance fee includes pizza dinner and door prize.) The good thing is that you'll be registered for any other CFSA events this season.

You guys can check out the results at our Web site now, www.ncdfreestyle.com. There's a short blurb on the News page, and the results are on the Results page.

In case you're not aware, for big air J1-3 are for air and style, and J4-5 are for landing.
