"only pros wear Oakley"

So I was in a lift line Sunday, I guy walked up to me and said "why are you wearing Oakley, Seth Morrison wears that jacket and pants, why are you trying to dress like him"? WTF HAHA, I look at this guy and hes wearing a full face helmet (like a MX one) while skiing groomers. I could not believe this, this guy says that only pros can wear Oakley. I was like no matter what jacket I wear from Oakley it will look like Seth, Tanner, Sammy or Simon. HAHA. I dunno, Im just bored and typing too much.
 
You should've told him that he looks like a tool wearing a full-face while skiing groomers, trying to copy the looks of Seth CR and Eric Hjorleifson (sp?)
 
Whoever he is, he has no concept of how marketing works, or why a company should sponsor skiers in the first place.

Well it's not just for pros, but if you are dressed head to tow in the current Oakley and not sponsored you tend to look like a tool, and are one being used by Oakley.
 
my little bro wears a full face helmet skiing everything,...but it's cause he can't afford a helmet so just borrows my other bro's bike helmet.
 
i almost got in a fight with this chode ass racer dueche cause he was slayin rails on his face. good thing he had that full face.
 
well its a good thing you told me... now i might need to start a new sale to get rid of all ym oakley stuff since only the pros can wear it by law
 
YAH DUDE!!!!! someone told me in a liftline in order for me to wear vocal walls i need to be as good as colby west and i tried to see if he was jokin around but he was some 40 year old tool with some mad old atomic rentals
 
Seems like the only people who hate on oakley are those who know nothing about it.  I'm anticipating this bullshit too--Got a full setup this year because I get a HUGE discount and needed new shit.  I'm looking forward to everything but the occasional stupid remarks I get in a lift line.  Funny thing is, if thhose same people talking shit could afford the gear they would buy it too.

Course, Oakley or no Oakley skiing is fucking expensive, and people don't realize we are all privileged in some way in order to go skiing.  People that can't afford season passes, $1500+ for skis boots and bindings, avalanche gear, packs, goggles, etc. look at us like WE are the pretentious, rich assholes.

In short, hating on a particular brand because it costs a lot is fucking stupid.  It says a lot more about you if you are the deuchebag yelling at people from the lift for what they are wearing.
 
that guy sounds so gay. i have all oakley and people are just jealous about it. i bet that guy was to.
 
So if I have an Oakley jacket , pant and goggle im a tool? Hmmm interesting. So that makes everyone almost a tool. Anyone with Oakley, H/H, North Face, Dna etc. and has matching jacket and pants, there tools?
 
Wierd...I had the same thing a couple of years ago with the whole anti-freeze kit, someone bitched about me on another forum randomly(having never seen me ski) going on about how i shouldnt be wearing it...wear whatever the hell you want, as long as you are having fun and not bitching about other people, you are all good.
 
me too. i have 2 glasses, 2 pairs of flip flops, lost count on shirts and such, 2 goggles, 1 jacket, 1 pant, a belt. haha. i'm lame.

and the majority of people who do that, cant ski worth shit in the first place!!!
