1) Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich

at a $40,000 a plate campaign fund raising event.

2) Only in America could people claim that the government still

discriminates against black Americans when we have a black President,

a black Attorney General, and roughly 18% of the federal workforce is black while 12% of the population is black.

3) Only in America could we have had the two people most responsible

for our tax code, Timothy Geithner, the head of the Treasury

Department and Charles Rangel who once ran the Ways and Means

Committee, BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher

taxes.

4) Only in America can we have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media fretting that Muslims

might be harmed by the backlash. Meanwhile, the Administration labels a terrorist's killings at Ft. Hood as 'workplace violence'

5) Only in America would we make people who want to legally become

American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens

of thousands of dollars for the privilege while we discuss letting

anyone who sneaks into the country illegally to just become American

citizens.

6) Only in America could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as

"extremists."

7) Only in America could you need to present a photo ID driver's license to cash a check, buy alcohol, buy allergy relief but not to vote.

8) Only in America could people demand the government investigate

whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas

went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. oil companies is less than half of a company making tennis shoes

(Nike). And while the oil company makes 11 cents per gallon, the government reaps 42 cents.

9) Only in America could the government collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, spend a trillion

dollars more than it has per year (total spending of $7 million PER

MINUTE), and yet complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money.

10) Only in America could the people who pay 86% of all income

taxes be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't

pay any income taxes at all.
 
Cool what do you think they are going to do about it? It's like telling people about the Federal reserve it sucks you can't do anything about it.

Yes I do my mom had the chance to be one if Hillery won the primary. Do u also know that the candidate picks who represents them in the electoral college. One would think that they would chose a person who would vote for them no matter what.
 
You seem to still be confused on what the laws are for bein in the electoral college and how the government works.
 
What that they can change their vote? I covered that one. Or that people in a state such as Wyoming has more electoral votes per capita than more populated states. Please educate me

This is just one of a hundred examples I can give (ok maybe not 100 but many) he wants to move amarica to the gold standered, who makes the price of gold do you know. It's 5 people on something called the london fix. So your saying to you like the fact that 5 people would wake up everyday and tell us what our money is worth and their not even from the USA I'm done posting in here. First of all just because thinks he's the best candidate doesn't mean that I support every thing the man does. Second we have gold sitting in our treasury since we were off the gold standered. Third if we had to back every dollar with gold that would prevent the fed from printing money and help curve inflation. Fourth gold is determined by millions of speculators in the market sorta like saying the Saudis control oil market when it is the millions of speculators that do

Congratulations OP you have managed to make one of the worst arguments for Ron Paul that I have ever seen, while at the same time demonstrating that you are probably between 12 and 16 and are almost completely ignorant about current issues and the U.S Government. Next time you form an opinion (based on what appears to be a chain email) and decide to spew it on the internet you should ask yourself: "am I really as smart as I think I am?" and "do I know enough to make an informed argument?" Then hit delete because its pretty clear that the answer is no.

The stat is total currency value given to the government. If every person from each of these countries spends the same value, say $1 per year, the US government would receive much more in taxes than any of the countries with higher tax rates due to the population size. A chart establishing tax rates does nothing in computing this statistic.
 
And yes, OP's statement is correct in this frame, but it is a pretty misleading statistic. Per person, the countries you have shown give a higher percentage of their income to taxes.
