Online HS classes?

anyone taken some? what classes? through who? experiences?

im about to probably take american gov't through red comet, one semester. what do you guys think?
 
Gr 12 Calculus, through D2L, started november just finishing now, writing my final next week. It was okay because I was doing an upgrade (damn rents) and I already knew most of the material but if I was learning it for the first time I probably would not be doing so well. They set relative deadlines for each unit but you don't really have to follow them, you just have to be able to get all your work and tests done by the end. I didn't do any math for 1 month and ended up having to finish 4 units in 3 days, scared the living shit out of me. I'm going into the final with a 92% so it's alright.

I think you would be alright taking American gov't, but for math and sciences i would definitely not recommend it because you have to be so motivated to learn on your own and do your shit and try to stick to deadlines. Good luck brah.
 
When I was in high school I took some online classes through BYU. They were really easy, like joke easy. You could (and were allowed to) use google on the tests since they were all online. You have to get a proctor to give you the written final exam though. Still, it was so easy, you're pretty much just buying high school credits from them for 80 bucks a class. It was nice because I got dumb classes like "Healthful Living" out of the way, and could take stuff I wanted like art classes, or just go home early.

you see, i do "g" to real high school (by which i can only assume you mean "go"). a real high school, with real social interactions. which, i guess you lack.

i cant speak for everyone, but sometimes its hard to fit bullshit graduation reqirement classes around 3 AP Classes, a 3.94 cum GPA, 2170 SAT scores, and full rides. so... i dont think i fall under the category of these "dumb fucks" if which you speak. again, i cant speak for the masses of NS, but most members, (and i do say most, citing you) seem extremely intelligent. ive heard of numerous SAT scores and GPA's that put mine to shame. a crying, sad, self hating shame.

this ignorance that you hold so dear is... hilarious? depressing for the rest of the world? nah... im going with hilarious.

wow i definitely need to do that. my health teacher is a stupid fucking dyke. she talks about herself the entire class, and then gives us hard ass tests on shit we never learned, and isn't even in the book. fuck her. she gives all the girls good grades in hopes of seeing one naked. fucking bitch.
 
word, online hs courses are not only for the stereotypical dumbfucks who don't well at school. There are other reasons, upgrades to get into legit universities, timetable conflicts. I'm in full IB, I can't do all three sciences (chem, bio and physics) at school because there is no room in my timetable. When faced with choosing summer school and online...well you decide.
