One's Outlook on the Middle East Crisis

Good solution, except the Iranians would definently favor the Sunni Muslims in Iraq and diminish the Shiite and Kurds power. Getting other countries involved was something we needed to do and maintain at the start, now it might be a little late for that. Would you want to invest your soldiers and money in Iraq right now? Iraq needs a stable government, yes, but I dont see anyone but ourselves supporting the country until it does.
 
i have a good buddy thats a marine. he got to come at christmas time.. i asked him all about it and hes like, we were in the middle of the desert, out of ammunition, and i hadnt eaten anything solid for a week... oh, and they sent him back... thats all i need to know.

he says one of the worst mistakes we made was firing the whole 500,000 man army, and refusing to use any bathists for security because most of them werent the ones causing the horrors, they were simply following orders from higher up because that was the only way they could make a living, there was no option for them to stand up against saddam

and he says from being there a lot he doesnt see any way were gonna get the sunnis and shiites to live together peacefully, and were gonna need to seperate them at least partially to find any success

You're a god damned moron. That land belongs to both Israel and Palestine. Both have been there since the dawn of religion.

Israel deserves to have its own country just as Palestine does. They aren't terrorists. They are, however, morally wrong in their military operations and extremely violent, but they deserve to have a country. They just shouldn't have as much power as they do.
 
Heres where I might draw criticism from everyone. But I'll do it anyways, its what I believe and my fair opinion. America needs to stop funding Israel. We give tons of aid to Israel every year, yet we do nothing for the Palestinians who we took the land from in the first place. Both people deserve the land in that country, and the US should work for a serious solution instead of supporting one side blindly. Many people claim that Palestinian's kill mercilessly. In my eyes, so have Israelis. We have funded their wars against Muslim nations, including most recently Lebanon, and certainly have made a lot of friends in the middle east for doing so. The only thing distinguishing the violence that the Israeli's bring is that we support them and give them better killing machines. Spending exorbitant amounts supporting a nation such as this is foolish, especially considering the lack of political friends we have in the region anyways. Let Israel support itself on its own dime - once we do so, Israel will realize that peace with its neighbors and good relations are its only chance. Thats the only way I can ever see the bloodshed ending.
