Well guys. I'm at my one year anniversary. I also conveniently placed it as my 1500 post. I will now discuss my time being as a skier and a NS'er. enjoy!

I started off as a little scout in the skiing world. My parents started me as young as 4 years old. At that age I was still to young to understand the greatness of the sport. So i quickly lost interest. My parents then forced me to go skiing again at the local mountain at the age of 7. I instantly fell in love with having those slippery wooden planks on my feet. I began begging my parents to take me to bigger and better places. So at the age of 8 instead of traveling to Europe or my home country of Japan we planned to ski trips. One to Seven Springs and the other to Whistler Blackcomb. Then when I reached middle school I instantly joined my schools ski club. had a blast going 6 times a year. Onto high school with the ski club also in mind. I am currently a junior at my school and am disappointed to say that my school has canceled ski club this year. Super sad about that but its whatevs. Get to drive soon. Anyway, i purchased my own pair of twin tip planks last year with the help of my friend, Michael Langen (yeastyboy11) with my own bank. Ever since getting into Freeskiing my life could not be better. I had so much fun last year thinking outside of the box and doing stuff that traditional skiers would think is stupid. My local hill opens in a few days and I'm uber pumped to get back on the slopes. It's been killing me sitting in front of my computer watching the great happenings of the Freeski world from last year. I hope to make a lot more friends than I did last year and have a load more fun too. That's gonna be hard because i had way too much fun last year with it.

My time on NS. I'd have to say at the beginning I acted like the typical noob constantly bickering about Tom Wallisch. Then around the middle stint I really found a love for the site. This site has a really strange addiction. I knew what I was doing and could fit in with the people here. I'd say those times are sadly over though. With the growing population of the sport many new kids are coming in here ruining and causing so much hate in the forums. And now every time you post a thread some new kid makes a smart ass response that is completely unnecessary. It did not use to be that way. No matter how ridiculous the question or post was something positive was always said by someone. And I'd like to thank those people that still continue doing that.

So I now close my one year anniversary statement. Thank you NS, thank you skiing, and thank the lord above for giving us all the chance to do something we all love... Skiing. Peace.

do you know how long 4 posts take? 1 post every 20 seconds due to spam buster makes that 80 seconds out of his day to make 4 posts. i don't know how he does it either

Way before your time, NS started an anti hate "love one another" ad campaign because the forums became so harsh. Youngin, you ain't know.

5 posts a day really isn't that hard. I live in the Midwest so our ski season is very limited. and I don't have much of a life outside of school and my sports. This allowed me to be on this site a good three or four hours a day. This is exactly what I'm talking about with the hate. The beginning of last ski season was nothing like this...

This thread was going to be there but it would not be on the first page within minute or so, I felt it necissary to place it here so people can read it.

everyone thinks that.

i wish i only had 1500 posts after one year...

i joined in the summer, so i whored it up pretty bad..

Ha, kid, you have no idea. The "hate" now is pathetic in comparison to how it was in say 04-05 and even before then too. The past year has been nothing.

I def agree with the hate thing though. I havent been on THAT long but still....its getting pretty bad

Hai Shinya...Stupid fucking post whore..you and Hansel.

Will you be at P North in about 2 weeks? Cause I WILL BE!!!

frustration - people believing they are better at skiing than they really are, until it's winter and they can't shred like they thought they can
so all that crap like "you're a TOTAL noob if you can't throw a dub cork 10, cos i can! BITCH" suddenly fades away when everybody realises that they have forgotten how to ski over the summer.... let alone do a switch dub cork 10 true tail to nose tap to 270 out to switch nose butter over Buckingham Palace..... cos i can BITCHES!

i landed more tricks my first day on the backyard set up than I did all of last season combined. I am guessing that because i spent all summer dreaming about skiing and envisioning my tricks, they just whipped themselves into shape. I progressed more over last weekend's 4 inch snow fall than all of last winter put together.

lolllllll ... you shouldve seen what ns was 3-4 years ago it wasnt about searchbars when a noob posted something. there was hate everywhere .

No, it's been better than it was in the past. I was a lurking type for 2 years, and back in high school the hate was ridiculous. It's been downright pleasant compared to that.
