This is going to make me look really insensitive as fuck but oh well.

Why do people care so much that a cop shot someone? I honestly don't understand this. Sure, it's not cool that cops go around shooting people but if you provoke a fucking cop, what do you expect?

The key thing here, is I fucking hate cops, and as it turns out i'm the one on this site standing up for them? Doesn't make much sense.

Honest question though, to all of you who have been posting about ferguson on facebook and here and shit, (i know you're out there) why the fuck do you care so much?

at this point its much less about the specific instance and more that there are still people out there who think being black is enough justification for shooting a kid

It's pretty simple to avoid something like what happened.

1. Dont commit crimes to be put in such a situation

2. If a cop stops you, be respectful and do what they say. They have a gun and have every right to use it if you threaten them in any way. Even if it's a bullshit reason to be confronted by a cop, dont be a dick. They have more power than you and you're not going to win.

Cops are supposed to protect the general population. If you commit a crime or do anything that could harm someone cops have every right to take action about that. Cops don't go out intending to shoot people everyday. Sometimes situations escalate to the point where these things happen. Its shitty but they also have to do what they have to do to protect the people.

One thing I don't know why it doesn't even matter if OP tries, keep that in mind I designed this rhyme to explain a new crime.

The answer is pretty simple though. If you're going to enforce laws you shouldn't be a douche.

i like Linkin Park

everyone thinks the police are out to get them. When its a black guy its racism. If its a white guy whos killed its police brutality. sure there have been some cases where excessive force has been used, but 99% of the time the police are in the right.

but for real fuck the police right?

Maybe its the militarization of the police force throughout the united states that's got people pissed off. Or maybe this police state culture that has people defending officers who abuse the rights of others for personal gain. Or maybe even something as small as civil forfeiture is why people care about this kind of shit. The police in America are apparently trained to shoot, kill, and ask questions later. I definitely think its important to look at this case by case. Of course there's great cops that are out there to protect people and there are really god awful cops too that abuse their power.

I agree with many people here with the fact that if you pose a threat to a cop, or don't stand down, the cop is absolutely in the right to defend his or herself. However I also think that there's more than one way to take down a threat. Tasers are extremely effective at taking someone down, using a gun when necessary is also fine, but I think cops should be trained to shoot not to kill, but to eliminate the threat. If you shoot someone in the shin, shoulder, hand, or thigh, they're really not going to be much harm.

Now there are instances of where cops display extreme police brutality. There are also instances where cops actions are completely justified. The only way we can fairly distinguish the two are body cams. I really don't understand why this hasn't happened yet with riots and protests happening in numerous countries over ferguson. It's not going to keep bad cops from doing bad cop things, but at least it will hold them accountable.

I really hate when people say this. cops and military are trained to shoot to stop the threat. in my situation I dont want to kill someone, but if they are trying to board my plane, or over take my aircraft then I am going to shoot them until they stop. The norm for training is two to center mass and one to the head. when people are on drugs or alcohol even a shot to the chest will not stop them immediately.

chest is number one target. if that is not working it is the head. then third is the hips. that is pretty standard procedure for most law enforcement agencies, and it is standard training for military.

Now to aiming at their hand or foot or their leg. first i will say this, we all like to think cops are amazing shooters. it is not hard to qualify to carry those guns. yes they will hit their target, but a human is a pretty big target. narrowing that down to their damn pinky is not going to happen. and second goes with what I said early, we shoot to stop the threat. in that situation there is a lot going on. it is much easier to rely on that training and aim center mass. even in my own home self defense that is what I will do. I do not know what this person is capable of and I want to subdue them as quickly as possible. it is not like hollywood where one shot and the person goes flying and gives up. if they are forcing someone to shoot them they clearly have a purpose and arent giving up very easily.

Are there significantly more black kids out there fucking with cops? Or are there significantly more cops willing to shoot a black kid?

three quarters of the areas that you just posted have major arteries and the other quarter would be nearly impossible to hit in a scenario where the target is moving.

And why in the fuck would we train the only fucking people protecting us not to completely eliminate a threat?

Lastly; how the fuck did a stupid kid in Ferguson, affect your daily life anyways? Like, if you were friends with the kid, or family it makes sense. This, and all other like scenarios are shitty, but blown way out of proportion by the black community. (I was literally told this word by a black kid from Atlanta, who moved to my city)

It is because cops have the ability to take or ruin your life.

And in a society that thinks cops can do no harm and they decide to get personal and ruin your life, and you're broke, the court does little for you...

Truth. Those who make ending suffering/injustice their life goal need suffering/injustice to continue to do so.
