One ski quiver? almost..

hey im 6'0 and 70kg(150lb?). im expert skier in everything except park where i wanna get good at. i ski whistler and already have k2 seth vicious. im looking for a pow ski that will also be my park ski cos pow skis are so fun in park. i was thinking the helllbent but what lenngth and are there any other suggestions? cheers

If anyone suggests Anthems I'm going to shoot myself. They are not a pow ski, now let's go from there.

So just to get this straight, you are looking for a legit pow ski that you can take in the park as well? Or the other way around?

well it seem's like you already have a one ski quiver. the seth vicious are decent in pow and decent in park as you probly already know so maybe the new seth's? since there a bit wider and a little rocker i think they'd do fine in park aswell. for somethin a bit wider bacon's would be a good choice too.

Yup. I live in BC and can vouch that these skis are the best things I've ridden everywhere for just having fun. They're pretty soft for charging and chunky variable snow, but for everything else they are great.

Despite a distinct lack of info presented by the threadmaker (incidentally, this is a disease which has reached epidemic proportions on ns now), I'm gonna go out there and say 09 Armada JJs, if you can find them. Really though, thats a total longshot without details on what type of skiing you are into, how you feel about skis you've been on before etc. etc. The more you put into a ski rec thread, the more you'll get out.

lizzies if youre small enough.

bacons

ep's

hellbents

seths

liberty hazmats although theyre more of an all around ski than a pow ski

uhhhhh maybe surface live lifes? those are the pow ones right?

ok well i ski whostler and i look for powder whenever there is pow. i like big drops into pow and skiing switch, if theres not pow i ski steeps drop cliffs or ski park althouugh im not that great. i will use my 189 seth vicious for BM skiing. the skies im looking for are mainly for pow but id like them to be good in park also, im basically set on hellbent, jsut wondering if anyone thinks otherwise

dunno if they've been mentioned, but kung fujas. for 2009/2010 they have a little bit of rocker, but still sound to be a good park ski.

Height and weight would be important too, and how hard you shred, though you kinda said that... If you're a big guy a stiffer ski would be better, but if you're smaller then a softer one could be right.
Everyone seems super stoked on Hellbents, and I haven't had a chance to ride them yet... But I've heard that for groomers they're fun and buttery, but they don't have much edge because of the rocker. And people say they're heavy... That's about it for negative that I've heard about Hellbents, everything else is pure stoke.
And Bacons only come in one size (except for next season they come in more), so they would only be an option if you are the right size for them.

well with what you've been saying about you not being very good at park but wanting to get better, i'd say deffinatly do not get hellbents. if your not good at park with skinnier non rockered skis, your gonna be even worse with fat ass mega rockered ski's. i imagine it would be quite hard for someone with not alot of park experience to get good with hellbents.

if you have seths already for big mtn stuff, i'm guessing you are therefor looking for something that is fun and playful in pow and also fun on groomed and in the park. maybe jjs will be a bit much, maybe think about 182 bacons, 182 czars, even 181 p4s would be fun. any more ski than that and i think you'd inhibit your progression in the park. to be honest you could do worse than 179 obsetheds...
