ok, i know that everybody is sick of this themed thread, but i just want to ask one question.

a palestinian blows up a bus, killing 15 israelis. an israeli f-16 pilot bombs a crowded neighbourhood, killing 15 palestinians. an american b-52 pilot drops bombs that he knows will kill both al-qaeda soldiers and afghan civilians.

what, if any, are the differences between these three acts?

not much. I aggree the Isreli gov could be doing a fuck of a lot better than they are doing however in a way all they are doing are defending themselves. T.V. is makeing the Isreli gov look even worse because it captures all their attacks because they are planned out, the palistians attacks are not. however I aggree they are all bad, especally the USA example because that doen't have anything to do with our county

i did read your 'fucking post'.. but i chose to exercise my freedom of speech (that's still a basica human right, isn't it? bush hasn't taken that one away from canadians yet, has he?). all i'm trying to say is that depending on how much money and power your government has, u can spin terrorism into anything.. defence, retaliation - but it only goes as far as your people will believe. and right now, americans are being deceived left, right and center.. all in all, i think these posts that are of the same theme serve to show that we do realize all the bullshit in the world, and it's time something be done about it - don't listen to andy and 'die' --- keep spreading the word, who knows what could happen.

 
I believe your freedom of speech is more of a Canadian Right than a Human Right. It should be a Human Right, BUT not all countries have a freedom of speech. In those countries, you'd be shot dead for speaking your mind.

It is a 'human right', some countries just choose to ignore it and not allow it to some people.

And I would say that those 3 events are completley different. Palistinian rebels provoke Israel constantly, kills 15 people in a suicide bombing on a bus. Israel retaliates, fair enough. America however is killing...actually wait, I had this huge big rant prepared but then I realised that it wasn't Iraq yet, haha, whoops, okay, maybe the Israel and America side are related coz they're both retaliating. You could compare the terrorist actions of Palistinians with those of Al Queda I guess.
