Hey,
So I'm trying to decide on a set of new boards. I want a one ski quiver and am trying to decide between the 3.Zero, the blends, Bridges, MSP's, or Prophets (100's or 90's). I'm 5' 8" & 145lbs. I spend only spend ~ 30 % of my time in the park and I tend to like a stiffer ski. As of ringt now I'm on a pair of old salomon scream hots and quite like them . I really want a an all mountain board with a slight focus toward big mountain.
In addition, how would you rank the relative stiffness of the skis. They would also probably be the '09 models.

i dont have an experience with the factions but, in terms of stiffness... prophets, msp, bridge, blend. i really love the way the prophets and blends ski, not a huge fan of the bridges, and i havent skied the msps.

prophets and msps and gonna be a bit more big mountain, while the blends are gonna be a bit more freestyle based, not to say you cant do big mountain on them, watch head for the hills and see the meatheads guys kill it on them. in your situation, id go msp or prophet 100s.

I go to school in upsate ny and am on the ski team so I'm at Greek peak at least 3 days a week. Whenever vermont gets hit hard we take a couple of days off and drive out there or tremblant. Then I spend 3 or 4 weeks out west usually aspen.
I really don't know how to ski park but want to learn this year. I am totally comfortable in glades and back country and want these new boards to be able to kill it there as well.
In addition, I am totaly open to any ski as long as it isn't crazy expensive, s5 or s6 are a little out. I really want to try the factions as they seem ill.

if i were you id go with the blend or prophet 100. the blend was designed exactly for your purpose pretty much. if you want to try park well it has park flex and geometry. but if you want to go mountain jibing/powder riding its 100 underfoot so its perfect. it'll also lay down some carves on the groomers

The 3 zero looks like a cool ski, and I almost bought it, but went with the bacons instead. Have you considered the SFB? It is alot closer to symmetrical than the faction ski, so probably better at park. I can't wait to ride them in 3 days. I have volkl karmas too, which are similar to the bridges, only 6 mil skinnier. A stiff ski, but super fun. They have big shovel tips and tails, so great for blasting through crud.

Prophet 100's are a good ski too, as well as the 90's. I skied the 100's and they seemed like a real solid ski.

Yeah I really want to try either the faction wednesdays or 3.zero. The graphics are so sweet. I just dont know anyone who uses them or a places that demo's them.
I looked at the SFB but they seem like they would be too soft. I think I like a stiffer board but then again I've never riden a softer ski. I really like they blends but am worried that they might be too soft and too park oriented

at your weight the Blends will be no where near too soft, the Blends IMO are your best option followed by the prophets which just take the blends more to the big mountain side of things.

blends are the shit. they'll be perfect for you, especially because you're so light. they're not the lightest ski ever, but they are absolutely awesome boards. you will not be able to stop smiling while riding the new blends.

If I were to go with the blends what size should I go for. I was thinking the 168. RIght now I'm skiing 165 and I think right around 170 is right for me. I am not going to get them center mounted aswell.

Go with the msp, if you like a stiff ski i don't think theres a better all mountain one quiver option out there, such a solid ski on every part of the mountain

Does any body know about the faction wednesdays?
Also 178 Blend's seem kind of large do they ski short if mounted as sugested. Also how are they measured is 178 the running lenght or total?
