One pair of skis for the rest of my life... chronic blends?

Ok, I did the search bar, I saw what people had to say about the chronic blends. But let me axe you dis:

I need a new ski that I can ride all over the mountain and will be stiff enough for high speeds.

I had last years line chronic and loved them. I'd like to go even wider this year. But, I live in the east now and I'll be in the park and the ice a lot (but I don't do pipe). Is the blend's freeride shape and stiff flex going to ruin its park value? How will it ride switch with the comparativly wider shovel?

Oh, and the swing weight. Will it ruin my spins or did the lighter core and carbon matrix keep its performance for big air?

to warn you, blends are not the same as chronic wides, they are similar shape to prophet 90s with lighter carbon fiber instead of titanium, they are a sick ski, but if you want stiff like the chronics, I would stay with them.

^haha, that is BS. just b/c lines have not had a lot of durability in the past means nothing about the future. so many companies have turned around their skis durablilty issues, ie dynastar.

thats bullshit. my friend has been on a pair of Mike Nicks for at least 3 years and they are still in very good condition. and onther friend is still rocking a pair of the original chronics with no problem and before that he had the orange 1260's that he still uses.

so untrue, line use to have the most durable twins ever, last year they were just in a new factory, i promise that line will have better stuff this year, and every year to come.

thats because a few years ago there wernt as many companies and now they have money from k2 so of cours there gunna be better in the future

cool, good info, thank you. Are you saying they are flexier than the chronics? or even more stiff because of the prophet influence?

again, I guess the question is, are they gonna ruin my fun in the park? (think rails, switch riding)

i didnt ride last years shit, all i know is i broke 3 pair in a season and as God as my witness will NEVER EVER pay for another pair of lines ever again, get them if ur a pussy and dont break skis like i do

HAHAHAHA of course they won't no ski really will unless u ski like a pussy! but line will last longer then most hahahaha wayda state the obvious buddy...

I'm guessing that's because of the new core and the extra carbon. Does this make them better for park and jibbing?

Blends would probably be really good. Maybee just the chronics though depending on if you plan on really going skiing fairly often or just sticking to the park. I mean it's not that bad skiing powder on a park ski if you aren't doing it that often anyways.

one of my last years chronic wides' core snapped so they gave me some free chronic blends. they should be here in a few days. i dont really hvae much info on them but i think it is going to be a really sick ski

lighter than profit 90s for sure, I liked chronic wides better for park, but I think its mainly personal preference, I have friends who prefer blends

cool! Why did you like the wide better? Why do your frineds like the blends? Which one has more pop/ollie effect?

foils, wide just like u saud, mad good skis, plus salamons last for years, ive have salmons for THREE years skiing like 90 days a year and still as good as new

Not interested in the foils, Salomons do not last for years. I used the space frames for a while and hated the foam cores, they were flexed to floppy, chattery noodles in no time.

I'm not asking for people to just reccomend whatever ski they own, I'm asking for people with first hand knowledge about the chronic blend. Will it work well in the park?

I liked wides better for their pop, and stiffness for jumps, My friends like the blends because they are softer, its all personal preference. Chronics and chronic wides definitely have more pop

go to momentskis.com and check out the reno, if I could only have one skis the Reno would be it. Its the same as the chronic which I skiied last year only its a 180 instead of the 177 and its got a better flex.

Holy shit dude! Those look awesome! I have never heard of Moment skis before (I'll admit I actually thought you typoed Movement) but they look sick and the prices are awesome. Do you know anything more about them?

cool, so more pop on the regular chronics. Does the softness in the blend make it good for park/buttering or does it just make them chatter on the hard stuff?

decent for buttering, never sketchy on ice when I skied it, the width and shape make it pretty stable

1260's dont really count :P

They are soft as shit to begin with. You cant expect any soft ski to last long.

what are your thoughts on the stiffness? does it make them good for park, or does it hurt or help their all-mountain performance?

Im actually trying to get a pair of blends right now myself.

I have no idea how they ride

ha ha ha, good point. I figured that despite the bigger size I could muscle it into doing whatever I wanted. Especially if it is light and a little soft

are they really sqaure or did the edges of the picture just get cut off? Anyone seen a pair of these in person?
