One of those what ski kind of things...

So first off, the type of ski im looking to buy, is along the lines of something fat enough for a bit of snow (this is the east coast btw), that still charges and turns through the trees pretty hard. As in im gonna be hittin cliffs and running some pretty sketchy areas and generally want to weasel my way out. I beleive myself to be pretty advanced, not in the steezy gangstar park sense but more all mountain get out there kind of person.

As i'm going to be skiing alot at Mad River and Jay peak, Park skiing isnt huge on my list, but hey if there's a ski that does alright with that shit too im pretty happy.

Im around 5'9" and 170lbs if that helps. and 18.

I've thought about the Line Chronic's or Blends being pretty nice as well as the Armada Arv, but id just like some other input ya know?

Muchos Gracias

Anything helps.

That guy who asks.

Rossignol s3 / scimitar are nice , 98 underfoot whit rocker blister gear have a review. Salomon 2012 if you like soft ski. Maybe some line blend or prophet. K2 kung fujas, softer side but i love mine.

you guys are both awesome.

Any ideas on the Shogun? went into another shop today and the guy was really pushing that or the JJ as you said?

I will probably get some hate for this but I found the Shogun to be a bit boring, nothing special but nothing bad. I will agree fully with the previous suggestion of the Rossi Scimitar, about the most fun all purpose ski I have ever been on and probably wide enough unless Jay gets a big dump. If you wanted to learn a little wider and a bit more directional the Armada TST is awesome as well but less playful for groomers/park than the Scimitar. Hope that helps.

have you thought about obsetheds? you can mount them pretty center to ski park and they'll still slay everywhere else. I'd definitely recommend something with camber and sidecut underfoot and a rockered tip.

i have the arv really solid all around ski. Handles oow great, charges well, pretty good in the park, and good in the trees as well. I use them in nh i couldnt be more happy. Also since theyre full camber youre gonna lose a little float over a rockered ski but on days when the fresh snow isnt abundant, which unfortunately is frequently, its gonna perform much better than the rockered ski. Thats one mans opinion, but definitely a ski thatll do it all for you!

Thanks you people. Park isnt my number 1 priority, so il go fatter than not. probably ending up about 100 underfoot. I think its safe to say i wont know till i demo, but still mad props to all of you.
