One of my skis taken/missing from Boreal yesterday...

So we were going out to the car to switch my buddy's skis, and I left one of my skis with my poles by a tree between Accelerator and the lodge. The other ski I left lying against the snow wall in the walkway to the parking lot. When we came back less than ten minutes later, one of my skis was gone, my poles were gone, and the other ski was lying on the ground, heelpiece up, with the brake lying a few feet away. They are last season's K2 Fujatives (brown, picasso-style art) with look PX12s (black with green rubber lifter thingys), and the missing one has a nickel-sized core shot under the heel. The reason I even started separating my skis is because I had the exact same setup stolen from Alpine last February, guess I have to never let them out of my sight...

It really looks like this was done intentionally, though I don't know why...I haven't pissed anyone off that I know of...I just want to be able to ski.
 
sorry to say, I'm sure its not around breal any more. I closed last night and tonight and do a walk around the lodge/base looking for rental equipment every night at close. did not see any thing and nothing laying around the lodge in the usually places for some thing like that. but I'll keep an eye out, I'm there every day.
 
you can borrow a pair of my skis until you get a new pair or whatever..... what size boot you got?

Who the fuck steals someone else's stuff, and just one ski at that? My wife and I had our kid up at Boreal w/ another family a few weeks back. Someone stole my 2-year-old's plastic Karhu Kboom skis from the tree by the lift. Both pair were together and they just took one pair. Then we noticed them stuck in the snowbank by the Boreal entrance.

I hate thieves. Nothing pisses me off like stealing shit. That includes borrowing stuff, fucking it up and not making right. It all falls under the same umbrella.

Just like that kid who jacked KC's drop-in ramp. Cash, new ramp or find the old one.

My friend just got his board jacked from Boreal last Thursday too. Some people are little bitches stealing peoples gear, and half the time it happens to people like me and we can't afford to just throw down money on new shit. Fuck thieves
 
Well KC let some guys barrow his drop in and then they left it somewhere outside their dorm at UNR and apparently it got stolen there.

Pretty tough thing to steal if you ask me, and its pretty low. Your just super lazy if you steal a drop in instead of build your own.
 
Well shit, if they just left it there then a number of things could have happened to it. Buildings and Grounds or Facilities could have taken it away too. And yeah, that sucks because it was a nice ramp and cost $$ for materials.
 
Well the kid replaced the materials for KC and left them outside his house. I'd like to think he'd have learned about leaving stuff outside... You can't replace the time and effort it took to build it in the first place. That kid might wanna consider calling KC to volunteer his time and help him build a new ramp. After all, it is the right thing to do. It's part of being a grown man. That kid also can't replace doing the right thing and admitting he fucked up immediately - rather than drawing it out and being a little shit, lying and making jokes about it for a week. Hopefully there are some lessons learned here. Hopefully that kid finishes doing the right thing...
