especially ones that don't like freedom of speech/press and tear down posters you have up that are anti-bush.

i had this sign up on this bulletin board at the coffee shop where i work. people are always stopping and looking at it, but this one guy stood there for so long. i just kept serving people and just watched him for a while then right when i turn around i heard a tearing and i turn and he throws the flyer in the garbage. i just looked at him like 'what the fuck are you doing' and he just walks out. fucker.

The people tearing down signs will be from any political party. It's the person and not the party. I would never tear down someone's sign, unless it said saomething anti-american, because I have respect for other's views, but sometimes I choose to speak out against them. If it were on a bulletin board, I might put up a poster supporting Bush. These things happen regardless of which party a person supports. It's part of life, and blaming just conservatives is wrong.

As an American you have the freedom of speech and the right to express yourself - however, do not forget that with that freedom comes responsibility. The responsibility to uphold and preserve it. If you disagree with me, you have the right to express your view. You have the right to place a flier in your store. Understand though, that if it is complete propoganda and far from the truth then people will get offended. This is just common sense. Let's put this in perspective.

Imagine you are an older man and were around to see the persecution during the World War. You saw your parents brutally murdered, you lost your friends, and you had a leg severed off simply because you were Jewish. Now, how would you feel if you saw a flier that said 'Nazi power.' or something like that? You would be infuriated. While I don't justify any actions that they take as a result, it's something that should be taken into account.

It's a poor analogy, but I think it gets my point acrossed. Vandalism and theft is never a good move, even if you completely disagree with something. There are many other peacable options that should be taken.

For example, at my high school there are hundreds of anti-bush posters up and so i decide to put a pro-bush one around campus and in a day they're all gone. Now I had not seen one liberal sign distroyed...that should tell you that its not a liberal/conservative thing so much as an asshole thing
