I've just started at the U and I'm either getting a pass to Alta or Snowbird, also I'm looking to go to as many premieres as possible, which should I join? both? Thanks

in all seriousness... just join both... both clubs seem to disappear after November anyway

One Love. I'm here to tell you what's up.

One love is the illest if you actually want to have fun, we're organizing a trip to ?Jackson? can't remember exactly because I;m too tired for 3 days and only like $400 bucks. Everyone who goes will split into groups of four and then live into a sick ass four person cabin. During that day we get to ski the mountain and then at night the guy at the resort says that the cabins are great for beer pong flip cup etc.

Forgot to say it's the largest student run club on campus besides like ASUU or whatever, we usually have close to 1000 members where Freeskier will have like 400
 
Freeskier Society had 900 members last season... and because half of them aren't snowboarders (its a ski club)... it obviously caters more towards skiers than OneLove does. Were any of you at the TGR premiere last year? It was insane, over 950 people in attendance!

Freeskier Society is doing 7 or 8 ski movie premieres this fall?

One Love is doing Poor Boyz (joint with UFS), they are showing Level1 a few months after its first premiere, and they are showing Matchstick a month after the real premiere (which UFS members get discounts to).

Freeskier Society is giving out 2 pairs of skis to people that buy seasons passes from them this year? Crazy!

 
just buy both. Love the premiers for ufs but I will also probably be going on the jackson hole trip. Plus 10 bucks for sick shirts aint a half bad deal in itself
 
Seriously, just do both. I think it would be better if they just combined, so they would have more influence to get better deals, but I think there's been too much drama and hate in the past between the two clubs for that to happen.

And since we're comparing them, I've always felt like UFS is more organized and on top of things than One Love. Just sayin
 
on a different note, don't forget about the OneLove and Freeskier Society JOINT PREMIERE of Poor Boyz tonight. There will be a pair of ON3P Jeffrey's and a pair of Surface Double Times in the raffle plus a ton of other great gear! Red Bull will be there around 7:00 when doors open! This show will sell out, so get there early!

JACKSON HOLE! Jan 1-4, price for members will be approx $400 for all lodging and tickets. Can't beat that. I will be sending out an email to all OneLove members this week with all of the details. If you're not a member (yet) but you're still interested, let me know and I hit you back with the details.

Sure, the pass discounts are the same, and a lot of the sponsors are the same- but just because we at OneLove have snowboarders in the club doesn't mean that we cater any less to skiers. More than 3/4 of the board are skiers, we put on plenty of ski premieres, and are always down to get together and shred. We like skiers, we like snowboarders.

So are the jackson dates set in stone for the 1st? Dear lord driving all day is not gonna be fun on new years, but hell its worth it
 
Yessirr, as far as I know the dates haven't changed at all. Price includes transpo/lodging/tickets.

At least it's only a few hours away, and you won't be the only one hungover, hah

So Utah Freeskier Society has the same pass prices as OneLove. Utah Freeskier has 40% more discounts available to its members than OneLove. Utah Free Skier Club has given out 7x more skis than OneLove. UFS does 5x more movies than OneLove (cause MSP is irrelevant 1 month after the UFS premiere). And UFS is cheaper to join....

Now this part is opinion but....I know which club I am NOT joining next year.. ***what a waste of $15 ONE LOVE...thanks for nothing***

 
Joining both seems to be the best, at the worst you're paying for 15 dollars for an alright t shirt. For three years i've seen Freeskier have their shit together more often than Onelove.
 
It's a club, pass prices are the same just join the one that looks cool to you. Go around analyzing data about the clubs you're joining freshman year and no one will ever like you, cause that is nerd shit.
