hahahahahahaha, I would SERIOUSLY LOVE to see you, any of you guys, take on Gagnier. This guy kills it in the park and most of you are just such fucking Tanner followers that the minute someone else outside of him and his little crew wins a major event, you guys all bash him. The point his, this grind is super technical, Gagnier made it look good. If Tanner had did this, he would be the most progressist skier on the planet. Give Charles the respect he deserves. Actually most of the presses I've seen done on skis, with few exceptions, look pretty crappy... all bent over at the waist, ridged legged.... meh... Mickeal in 1242 are the best presses I've ever seen.

 
they aren't real presses... its like people start sliding the rail.. and as they go down the rail they start to come off one side or the other, like they are blowing it, but they lean over really far and some how keep it on the rail the rest of the way. Then everyone says sick nose press.

i am definitely not a fan of the one footer, it looks stupid and is worthless, seriously worthless. my buddy zach was doing them at boarderline camp back home in alaska and now all the groms do them there and think its so sick and zach is just like 'what have i done, i should have never done those at camp' because everyone tries them and thinks they are so sick when in fact they look dumb. i would much rather see a good old regular slide and the grabbing the ski on the rail is definitely worthless as well.

also, why do the people who are for gagnier automatically take this thread as being anti him and his xgame gold when its actually anti-onefooted hubabaloo, peole can have opinions if they want and the people that say they can't sound like 3/4 retarded nazi's.

and yes, gagnier did have a really sick run, other than the 1 foot. personally i think jon should have won though.

jibtech nailed it. nose presses/nose slides, well the ones people are doing now, and all one footers are super ugly. tail presses/slides are a-ok. id like to see someone do a real nosepress or a crook or something. legs together, knees bent a little, arms at an aesthetically pleasing position, body a little off centre of the rail. ohhh maaaaan that would be tiiiiiiiiiii-eet

backslide and fast slide are sick...maybe the one that charles did at the x games may have been kind of sketchy but it IS really hard slide to do so I can understand sometimes it gets a little sketchy...But you guys should not stop only at looking to gagnier's one shot back slide underpressure in a comp....Im sure you would see him ride and do one you would find it so sick...Its not because he fails 1 time to do it with style that he can't....charles is really a sick skier don't underestimate him. And yes it is part of the progression...in several years were gonna see backslide and fast slide on urban rails with so much style it will be out of mind!

i think the worst looking grind trick is the tip press. backside one footer is hard and a hard trick to make it look good since you are in such an awakard position. maybe grab the foot and make it into a roller blading trick. roller blading is pretty much skiing, that's unavoidable.

Everyone should ride rails the same as its been for the past couple of years with no change at all. No one-footers, no grabs, no fastslides or backslides or anything different. Just gorilla steeze, two feet on the rail, no mouvement. That would really progress the sport. If you haven't figured out, I'm being sarcastic. Skiers feet are seperated, we should take advantage. If you don't like one footers or grabs then don't do them but at least its different and some people are attempting to evolve the sport. And also, unfortunately, some of our tricks will look like rollerblade tricks cause of the similarities between both sports. And if you don't like that go and snowboard
