yeah i just wanna know what u guys think about one-footed grind and if u say ITS GAY well can u please explain why... I think it can be gay but it can also be stylish if it's well done

P.S. not gay but definitely not worthy of being used in competition
 
ok, something like a flat-down rail with an uphill switch up over the kink to one-footed grind would be sick. otherwise, incredible steeze is a must to make it legit. it would be cool to see people experimenting with different grinds (nose and tail presses are definitely steezy) because without switching up, normal slides can get boring quickly. i don't mean to turn this discussion into "aggro skating is gay" (it's not), but aggressive skaters definitely have an advantage in this department- so many ways to get creative with their grinds. whatever... bottom line is to do what you think is fun and cool.
 
i'm not really a fan, but then, it's pretty hard to hate on that video. on the hill i usually think its cool whenever anyone does something better than average.

tanner's nollie lip was definitely better than the one footer though.

its maybe not the greatest looking, but its tough as shit to do. style isn't everything in my opinion. if you can do something that 99.99% of all people cant do.. that pretty illin.
 
i hate you so much 1 footers are rollerblading and everyone that does them seriously should quit skking and start snowblading or juts quit snowsports all together..... however 1 footers are fun when you do them and yell at the top of your lungs "ganier rollerblading bro" then its fun.....plus pep is 1bejillion times more respectable than ganier and his opinion on skiing matters more than ganiers....never ever hate on pep you faggot pep inovated so much adn progressed this sport to where it is now so you could enjoy it as it is ...im sure pep is just angry people are trying to associate skiing with rollerblading and roolerblading is the bastard child of tow men inserting thier falices into each others rectums.....so i can see why he is trying to convince people not to do it i mean c'mon 1 footer in the xgames....and the person that did that won fuck why dont we all just don tight leathers and start making out with the nearest dude 11 footers are ruinin our sport so yeah fuck you all 1 footer likers get a fucking idea....

gagnier is a WAY better SKIER than pep since gay comps and what tricks you do in the park decide who has more SKIING talent for kids. making peps points invalid

Cusson used to rollerblade, how do you think he learned how to flat spin?

Mike D did at one point own aggressive skates (don't know if he skated for a long time or not) but did have skates. Dion, Bélan, Iannick B, Turpin, Boyd and many others actually rollerbladed for a while.

There are countless other skiers who have rollerbladed at one point (Charles Gagnier apparently never did before last summer).

Eric Pollard skiboarded pro for a while, then skied without poles, and the moment he started skiing with poles became an industry icon.

You guys are idiots for bashing these sports, when in reality you are just afraid to be associated with it. Rollerblading has influence newschool as much as any other action sport out there. Many of your idols have looked at it and found ideas they could adapt to skiing. Wether you like it or not rolling has it's share of influence.

Even Tanner has admited saying rollerblading is gay while looking at Daily Bread Magazine for sick tricks... What does that say?

I just think skiers can't stand up for themselves and be proud to be skiers. They always have to compare themselves to boarders, surfers or skateboarders. To be associated to rollerblading scares the living jesus out of them... Oh my god I wont be cool enough for the skateboarder "wanna be" at my local skatepark.

Snowboarders never do massive kinks. I'm not so sure that's true, but even if it was, either somewhere in skeeze, or somewhere else I remember someone writing about "why not try to make skiing have its own style, which is separate from boarding". Honestly, even though the sports have so much in common, there are going to be differences, and in no way should boarding set the rules for skiers. Some of the rails are ridiculous in shanghai, especially the one at the playground from the poster. I'm no pro, but I personally love watching movies every year and seeing skiers claim rails I wouldn't even think were doable.

As for pep's view on skiing vs. gagnier's? An opinion is an opinion. That said, some people may have had more experience, and have a more educated viewpoint. Obviously a kid that studied abroad in europe and travelled a lot would have a more worthwhile opinion on some things than a student that graduated and went to state college half an hour from his high school. So as far as that goes, Pep's opinion has a lot more weight than some 15 year old that's skied at a hill in the midwest his whole life. But both Pep and Charles are pro skiers (paid to ski), around the same age, both with a lot of talent, so I'd say they're on the same level. Pep does have a lot more big mountain experience than gagnier as far as I know, but whatever.

Also, I hate hearing someone talk about "from the start" and then mention happy dayz in the same sentence. A week or two ago I saw some kid in a thread say, "back in the days of 1242" and was serious about it.

Oh yeah, one footed grinds are gay.
 
propaganda was like the first kickstart on a moto that doesnt start it but pumps enough fuel through the lines for teh second kick start(happy dayz)to start the whole thing and it just keeps gettin better and better....before taht skiers were so far behind snowboarders they looked silly...sure it was sick in 13 or other similar vids from that era whatchin vinnie do a cab seven adn philou do a switch backflip but skiing only started to get serious in happydayz whe people started taking thier style and technicallity to the backcountry and made skiing semi comparable to snowboarding...i love to ski i also love to snowboard, skate,wakeboard and i regularly engage in all of these sports becuase they are uber dope but seriously rollerblading is like the kid who came outta the closet of extreme sports adn everyon wails on him as he is gay...so who would wanna be associated with him and get wailed on by everyone else???

Pep and Charles both have unique styles, and they do what they want, but to back Ced here, when have you seen a clean switch spin from Pep over a 7? I know it's not a spin-to-win contest, but people base their opinions way too much on the professionals of our sport. Does Pep's opinion fuel your fire, Knotbox? Does it make your hate more legit? There's nothing bas abot rollerblading, it's connected to our sport as much as any sport with people pushing the limits.

Stop the hate if you have no reason. Did your father used to buttfuck you with rollerblades on, or where the hell are you getting this "gay" thing? You're just an insolent prick, whose opinion will be heard, but not listened.

i think one footed grinds are dumb when people just pick there back foot off BUT when you do something lik slide on the back foot only / lift the other foot up up high and grab it while sliding thats chill

if done well, one footed grinds look pretty decent, if not done well, they look like the gayiest thing ever.
 
one footers are steezy when done with style but other wise are kind of fruity.

Andy, Pep is surely a better big mountain rider then Charlebut believe me charle is definately a good skier. His park riding is progressive and even the way he approach all mountain riding is different then anyone else I know. i'm sure that if Charle grewout west he could hold his own with the best of them, if he wanted too.

About Charle starting spinning both way way after Pep, I dont think you could be as farfrom teh truth as you are. Charle pretty much started spinning both ways as soon as he started doing tricks with skis.

And finally about 10 being homosexual, yep you are totally right a 1080 were you spin as fast as possible is homo as you would say. But Charle 10 are kinda different sinces he is usually grabbing nose or tailin them, going just as big as the jump allow him too and actually not moving a damn muscle.

ok how can you hate on that video..it was fucking sick. i think one footers are just another way of progressing. i agree that all the crossed up, twisted back upside down, backwards railslides that inliners do look pretty hilarious, but whatever man, thats what they like to do. like for god's sake every trick name we have is taken from skating so whats the difference. whos making up theres rules?
 
Jon Olsson should have win the x-games, his the man!!! hes run was way better than tanners and gagniers... Its not a new fact that its hard to win the x-games if you not from the states...

What is so gay with 1 footed grinds? its progression that makes skiing looks different from snowboarding... All the hating on this site is redicoulus, Jon is the man for looking different from other gangsta wigger skiers... the wigger thing has gone to far, get over it...
