Crazy thing is that Ken Kesey wrote basically the whole book while on acid.

same thing happened to me. i was so happy to finally see the movie, but when i saw it i thought they ruined the book. the movie won like all the academy awards for that year but i thought it was shit cuz they didn't do the book justice
