One does not simply ski a whole season and not stretch after skiing.

not stretching when you're a teenager seems fine at the time, but when you hit your mid 20s you start to regret it.

like I didnt know it -.- i was simply putting it into the dudes face who said something about just shredding my backyard...

You my friend are a fucking retard. Helmets are for the smart. No other reason why they would be called brain buckets.

to all the kids that like think its cool not to stretch honestly just stfu you are fucking retarded. stretching for one is obviously good for you and two it will make a you better skier. Sure you havent been hurt YET... why not do something that takes 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night to help lower the risk of getting hurt and on top of that when you are 30 you are going to be feeling a hell of a lot better. I am going to be 27 soon and never used to stretch, I am paying for it now. I advise you kids to stretch, if you dont you are just plain stupid.

You're calling people retarded, when in fact you have little to no knowledge about stretching, what it does, and how it works. I suggest you go and read through this thread again, and get educated.

Static is when you hold a stretch in a fixed position for a period of time, dynamic is when you use movements, such as butt kicks and high knees. I'm not that familiar with ballistic stretches, but it's something to do with a bouncing motion, overextending tour muscles/tendons. Isn't it mostly used by f or example gymnasts?

Yoga, motherfuckers.

Bringing this thread back. This ^ has made me better at skiing. I never really understood how important core strength was but it is pretty much helps every aspect of skiing. From butters to jumps, i have seen a huge difference in the smoothness of my tricks.

Always wanted to whip that trick around? Ever wished you could pop that little bit more on the rail? Ever wanted to make that one rail all the way to the end? Ever wanted to set that spin harder and more accurate? Get a stronger core.

DO YOGA.

this thread describes me....currently trying to get all good for the summer season, yoga, chiropractor, sensory deprivation tanks, core exercises...haha may have spent a bit too much just to make my back feel good, really though I'm more concerned about how tight my hamstrings always are and don't wanna fuck up my knees
