actaully, im pretty sure you you can buy them and transfer your number to that phone, you dont have to get a new plan. but with blackberries, you do HAVE to pay a $30 a month data plan

Yea blackberry plans aren't cheap for verizon at least. I broke my phone a couple weeks ago and almost got one till i found out it requires a mandatory $30 a month charge for the internet, this is on top of your existing service plan.

false, check your bill. YOU CANNOT BUY A BLACKBERRY WITHOUT THE PLAN. RIM has a deal with verizon that attaches the $30 no matter what

now the samsung Omnia, i want that. it has WiFi, but you can't even use the WiFi or EVDO network without the $30 plan so basically its pointless, but they dont FORCE you to buy it.

You dont need the $30 plan for the lifetime of your phone. You can have it for the first month then cancell it. OR, instead of the $30 internet fee, you can get unlimted messaging, and it is the same thing.

okay, i have verizon, if i buy a blackberry curve can i get my number transferred and add myself onto the blackberry plan that my dad and sister are on?will it only cost an extra 30 bucks a month or do i have to get a whole new service plan?if not i will buy this in a heartbeat
