One brand for the rest of your life...

If you were forced today to only ride one brand of skis for the rest of your life, who would it be? This is 100% subjective, so feel free to use any rationale you please - past performance, current lineup, future promise, brand cache, etc.

For me, I think it's Moment. They just seem to have found the right balance of quality, fun, and diversity in their product lineup without catering to the groomer/carver crowd like so many brands nowadays. I love their indie spirit, and I have more faith in them to stay true to their roots than just about any brand out there.

Honorable mentions: ON3P, WNDR, RMU

Came here to say Moment. Only ridden two of their models but now I want to try them all. Best looking lineup out there too IMO

ON3P or Moment. I don’t even ski freestyle like that anymore but can’t do directional skis for some reason. The way that these companies offer skis that are playful and balanced but still rip anything you can throw at them makes me never want to ski anything else.

Same same. I'm too old and broken to take pure park days anymore, but I still refuse to buy directional skis.

K2 cause I can afford them and so far have only had good experiences, all though my sidewalk blew out yesterday. That’s after skiing the ski for 3 szns two in the park and it only blew out cause I did a lip slide at Mac 10 and caught on the end of the rail where I landed

Armada.

They consistently have skis I'm happy to ride, I could pick my 3 skis quiver every single season and be super happy with it since they exist.

This season I'd pick:

ARV 96 for park

ARV 106 for all mountain

WhiteWalker for powder and touring

On3p, they have a good ski for just about everything

Probably Armada, never skied a bad Armada ski. They seem to have consistently solid designs, durability is OK, sometimes they make a design that is just absolutely amazing (Magic J's come to mind). They also seem to have decent variety as well, although I'm increasingly bummed that they make a bunch of groomer boomer skis now. But hey, maybe I'd like that when I'm 50 (but probably not tbh)

If they're free, probably line. They're always just so much fun and offer a diverse quiver. Probably the lowest in terms of durability tho

yeah, they have a really good range especially with the zero series

but how tf is literally anything Armada puts out a “groomer boomer” ski

Definitely gonna go with armada. After spending the past few seasons riding/owning a ton of different skis from a ton of different brands I always come back to riding armadas. I’ve never ridden a bad ski from them and they only seem to be getting better as every year passes.

Vishnu if they made a touring version of the wet with a slightly flatter tail with a skin notch. Otherwise probably Armada.

Icelantic probably.

would just ride nomads for as long as possible then go to some of their all mtn skis when I’m elder

I second this. 95s are imo the best park skis on the market. 115s for pow days and Saba pros for deep days. The new pioneers for groomers and maybe a park lap or two

Straight from Armada's website (quoting a SKI magazine review):

"The all-new Declivity series performs more like an all-mountain ski from a brand with a race heritage"

Its a super directional, titanal reinforced ski marketed as a frontside carver. That's about as groomer boomer as it gets

They are rly carving skis and their fun ones took some laps on my friends 88s And some park laps on them lol. He skis them everywhere even lands switch off jumps on them, slides rails. The 88s being carbon instead of titanium butter nicely also

Wider Declivities are definitely more geared towards fast freeride capability as opposed to carving

I'm sure they're super fun. I'm sure they're more versatile than most carvers. I'm sure they're perfectly serviceable quality...

...But the day brands like Armada and Line started hyping up the fact that they were making frontside carvers was the day they stopped being the companies I grew up loving and admiring for their independent, anti-establishment spirit.
