ON3Ps

Is this gonna be for all park or 50/50 park/resort. What percentage would you say? Is this something you'll want to take outside of the park and down gnarly runs? Where do you ski?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't arvs be easier to butter than magnus/jeffrey?

I ski a small resort in Indiana, so once I get burnt out on runs park is kind of my only option. So probably like 70/30

Yes, been riding some Kartel 98’s the last few seasons and I really did them. I mounted the bindings -1.5 from center and they have been a great all mountain ski for me. I definitely recommend them but there are also other good skis out there.

I'd read this thread: https://www.newschoolers.com/forum/thread/869715/Armada-ARV-96-or-ON3P-magnus-90

Probably no reason to go for anything other than the magnus in terms of ON3P skis for skiing mostly park in indiana. The jefferys can be good for a park/all mountain combo if you're skiing gnarlier runs and want a stiffer ski you can drive a little harder, but I feel like the magnus would handle anything from indiana (I'm from michigan so mostly same deal there). I'd dig around for some more comparisons between the arv and magnus, I have to believe more of them exist.

ON3P is definitely known for their durability, so I'd take into consideration if you're real hard on your skis and have ever had durability issues in the past. Otherwise, personal preference.

Appreciate you boss, will do

Hey man I ski at Perfect North also and I would say something skinny is probable the best due to the ice we get. I ride twalls and magnus. I think they are both great for it. I will say twalls are cheap so if you want to keep it cheap they're definitely the one but the magnus is also perfect.

cool man thanks for the tip, hope to see you out there this season! Hopefully early

I have rode the Magnus 90s for 2 years in MN so just small hills all park they are great but not as flexible as everyone thinks. They are good for butters from the extreme rocker in the noses you can fly on em. Recently upgraded to the 102s and love them so far, only been out 2 times but they are way stiffer.

unpopular opinion but for me personally i would say not worth the price, since I'm canadian and thanks to our terrible exchange rate, a $750 pair of skis (mango's promodels) comes to slighly less than $1000. and that is a very large amount of money to drop on a park ski which may or may not last a full season depending on how many rails u hit.

different story if its a pow ski though, since its naturally gonna last longer. don't get me wrong on3ps are great skis with a huge amount of positive customer reviews. if I was american i would definitely have copped at some point.

Short answer, yes.

There's a myriad of threads confirming this question over the course of the last 5 years or more.

they're sick skis for sure but I busted them in one season and on3p customer service never got back to me after many emails and calls so thats my main downside

Park is the ONLY option at perfect north on a weekend lol
