What I'd do is design and have a working file that is those dimensions, then take smaller sized down Jpegs of your work and submit them to NS. If you win, you do want a huge original, high res is better on such a big object.
is it better to make a rectangle like the winner of last year or in a pair of ski..
i have a sick design i think but i can't make it in a pair of ski because i don't have the skills, i don't know how!
i don't very know photoshop.. I use photofiltre from maybe.. 3 year..
I don't know how but i desinstall it 1 time 3 year ago and re-install it and it still working great for free!
Eh, Grizzlycorn is like what makes this contest great: nobody would actually dare to make a graphic like that in a non-contest setting. Some of the MS Paint ones are really, really bad, but making something compellingly awful - bad but paradoxically brilliant and good - is hard to come by.
There is a big difference between something awful that took 5 minutes in paint versus something terrible that took some time in photoshop. The Grizzlycorn is pretty terrible but it has important things going for it like composition.
We've made a change to the contest system this year to make sure that its a universally agreed "worst" topsheet, not just what we up in the office are revolted by. We did choose two winners last year, and that Steven Hawking one was really really bad...
We'd prefer it, but not a requirement. Please dont use other logos though, we'd really like to have a full year of production without a Cease and Desist letter...
Ahahaha I totally remember when I made that picture- I saw a thread about it and thought I'd add to the fun, little did I know the joke had been running for years!
Laws on using a persons likeness to promote a product are complex. The person who takes the photograph has the rights to the photograph, but the individual has the right to their likeness, when used in a promotional sense, as opposed to a journalistic sense.
