Currently looking at ON3P jeff 100’s

Other options are moment wildcat 101 and armada arv 100’s

I ski alot of park and alot of big mountain probably a 50/50 split. Looking for one ski quiver

Just wondering how on3p’s will perform on hardpack/ice? Kind of getting the impression that theyre more for choppy powder in big PNW bowls, i could be wrong. I primarily ski in colorado more specifically Eldora which is windy/icy/hardpack alot of the time. My current skis are the J ski allplay and they have been great for me in these conditions. Any advice would help alot!

I’ve skied the 96s for a few years now as an east coast daily on ice and haven’t had an issue. I’m sure the extra 4mm won’t make a massive difference.

Man I moved from the PNW back to CA, and then to Eastern PA, and I rode ON3P's with no issues having fun in all of the above, from super chopped up heavy Cascade snow to dogshit ice-dungeon so-frozen-it's-glowing-blue Poconos snow.

fwiw, if you're ordering/buying from ON3P, you can opt to not get their factory park detune (which is straight up rounded underfoot), and detune it yourself if you want to later.

I've skied on a pair of Wrenegades regularly for several years. My seasons are typically 70% east coast and 30% west coast.

ON3Ps are heavily rockered and undoubtedly favor soft snow/chop. They'll survive on ice just fine, but it's definitely not what they're designed to do. It also depends on how you ski. If you're an ex-racer looking to carve GS turns on boiler plate, look elsewhere. If you're straightlining 800ft of vert straight to the park, then it really doesn't matter what you buy.

your allplays will feel better on ice for sure

jeff is a surfy ski and feels like that on ice. You can ski em fast for sure but you won’t be able to easily make love carvy turns. But for chop the Jeff loves it.

Read too quickly and somehow thought you were from the East Coast. Huge difference between western ice and eastern ice. ON3Ps will be fine out there.

I had a set of Kartel 108s for years (basically the Jeff renamed). I lived on the west coast at the time and can say that they were super sick. They would probably work great with the stiffness, but maybe stick to the high 90s as far as width goes. I have never tried them myself but Moments are sorta a competitor to ON3P. ON3P has had some top tier park athletes (Magnus for example) and they are well known for that. I had my 108s as my only planks and they never failed me. Only thing I disliked was that they were a bit heavy but durability (at the time anyway) was great. hmu if u have ?s

I've been riding Jeff 110's for a bit, they can carve, you just gotta be hauling ass. As someone who's local is Hood I can confirm that they ski chop insanely well and are quite manageable in the bigger sizes when it comes to fast mogul skiing. Haven't really brought em out for an icy day but I feel like they might feel a bit to damp or dead in hardpack and ice at lower speeds. If you ski fast and ski a good bit of bowls and big mountain lines, go for the Jeff's, if you wanna mostly ski park and hit side hits at a lower speed go for the wildcats or joyrides. Also, the Jeff's are quite heavy, my 185' s mounted with pivots are so heavy that I gotta wind up for a 900 in order to throw a 360. ON3P' s can be a bit of an acquired taste, Id demo before making any final decisions

My J102's ride decent on hardpack and ice. Effective edge is pretty long at 191cm, which definitely helps. My old poachers ride similar. About the same as any rockered park ski, no more, no less.

Used to ride some full camber AR7's which could def hold edge a little better on ice, but wouldn't swerve or play at all. Rocker/camber is a trade-off.

Look into the fatypus BU or nordica unleashed 98. Both are great skis for exactly what you're looking for. I ride the BU more in the trees and chop but they also slay in the park and ride the unleashed more all mountain freestyle

Jeffreys really aren't the skis for hardpack. They prefer to be skied flat and centered. On hardpack you want a ski made for carving and driving from the front

Dude the b.u. Is massively fun but it’s a literal noodle with zero torsional stiffness, definitely not going to perform better on hardpack. Putting that in the same category as the unleashed just doesn’t make sense. Get the Jeff’s and give them three solid days to figure out how they want to be skied and You’ll be very happy with the choice. I ski my 102’s daily on the east coast which is a good bit firmer than ‘Colorado ice’, and the only snow they can’t handle is boiler plate, see the groomer treads in the trail, hockey rink type ice.

I don't find the bu to be a noodle granted i generally size up when it comes to my skis. I ski jay and mad river all the time on these (ice, steep trees, light powder) and I haven't found them to be too soft for anything i've thrown at it yet. I did get to test and ultimately bought a pair of unleashed 98's this year and I love them so far. Definitely stiffer and heavier than the fattys but there's also metal in them and i slapped pivots on them so that doesn't help.

Allplays do not feel good on ice at all

ye never skied em, just looking at the shape, camber profile and softness, id assume they can engage an edge well. I could be wrong, nothing feels good on ice tho its just ice
