ON3P Mango vs K2 Reckoner

Looking to grab a new pair of planks but having difficulty deciding. Currently rocking the Blends and they're definitely too noodley for me but have been fun for the past few seasons. They're pretty rough riding through crud and tough to really push into hard turns because they're so flimsy. I spend about half my time in the park and half the time riding pretty hard both in the bumps and big mountain so I want something thats a one ski quiver.

Also I'm curious - I've always ridden with about 100 underfoot and 177ish in length (I'm 5'8"). How big of a difference does having shorter and skinnier skis actually make in the park? I avoided the park till about 5 or 6 years ago and now I love it but haven't ever ridden with anything shorter or with skinnier waist but have been considering getting a pair of exclusive park skis and then having another pair for the rest of the mountain. Already have some boats for the backcountry and big powder days at the resort.

Honestly length isn’t a huge factor it’s more about weight. I’ve been riding my 184 reck 112s as opposed to 177 poachers lately and I honestly think I spin faster and can jump higher despite the skis being nearly 10cm longer

I've been looking at the 112 braindead recks, how are they on the rails with that width?

nah I havent got around to doing a base grind but if I had the tools and knew how to do that I would probably exclusively ride the 112s in the park and find a different pow ski. I've ridden wide skis on rails and even though its harder to pull swaps around (not because of swing weight but just because they're literally bigger and longer) they offer like double the stability while grinding than thinner skis. I've heard theres a lot of people who ride reckoner 112s in the park though because they're super light and buttery, even though its a pow ski I would honestly recommend it for park and groomers

The wreckoners are toasted after a few days. Worst quality ski I've ever owned. Very fun to ride tho.

durabillity on mine was solid. Didnt use them for a whole season tho

A lot of people have experienced reckoner issues, OP. Particularly the sidewall. There’s even threads about it on here

Skied park for five days (yes, five very casual 2 hour sessions) on them and noticed five cracks on three of the four edges and one bulging sidewall of the four sidewalls. That's on par with my Faction Prodigy3.0's...

...with 100 days on them.

True but also you get a 3 year warranty that they I’ve heard they honor pretty diligently. I was super scared to take mine to the mountain because of those concerns but I talked to some people and they said the warranty is legit so if you got a backup pair why not ??‍♂️

Damn that’s a deal breaker for me

Look up the “Gear to stay away from” thread by muffinman. I tried to copy the link but NS isn’t working with me because I’m on the app.

consensus is that it’s very fun though

Got my money back and will never buy a pair of K2 skis for park agaib.

The Reckoner 112 - 191 is my daily driver for park and cruising around the mountain. I see a few people chirping about durability but I've yet to have a problem with them and im pretty heavy on my feet.

I like the wider length especially in the spring time. The lightweight of the reckoner makes them totally usable for park even at the 112 width.

Jeffery 102 will be more suited overall to all mountain while still ripping the park. You can't go wrong with either, but I have definitely seen a lot of sus durability issues from the Reckoners and they will also be pretty damn soft. It looks like a fun ski but I wouldn't spend my $600 on them
