Ive ridden both

Both are super solid skis, you cannot go wrong with either. Magnuses are super rockered but definitely stiffer, which means you’re gonna get a lot of pop out of your ollies/nollies/butters etc. they’re also probably the most durable ski on the market if you take care of your edge cracks the proper way, but that being said I have seen a lot of pairs snap from jump crashes. Magnuses are also pretty heavy IMO but nothing that will really affect your skiing

vishnu wet on the other hand is IMHO the most fun ski ever created. Super soft (perhaps the softest ski on the market), but at the same time they’re snappy and still poppy. Stupidly easy to butter. super light as well, amazing on rails. Theyre swervy and surfy as hell because of the insane amount of rocker (a little more rockered than magnuses). One of the best parts about them is that they’re symmetrical in design and flex, which IMO is a game changer for park skis. They’re not as durable as the magnus, especially if you’re a rail rat who likes big disasters as well (that’s me) but they will serve you well if you take care of any edge cracks you get (which will happen to any ski). People bitch about vishnus on jumps but honestly I’ve never had a problem, if you land backseat on them you just wheelie it out.

plus, Vishnu has the dankest topsheets in the game.

if I were you I’d go with Vishnu, because they’re significantly more fun, and better priced/valued (vishnus are 420, magnuses are 600).

thanks man means a lot. i’m kinda new to freestyle. i can 360 540 frontswap 270 off easy stuff like that. how would i take care of an edge crack if i got one?

Get a big metal file from your local hardware store, and some 2-part epoxy. Whenever you get an edge crack, file down the whole area so the edge is almost round. This will prevent the edge from ripping out of the ski. Then put some epoxy on any gap you see in the area to keep the water out. If you do that on your skis you should extend the life of them significantly.

Yeah as long as you don’t hit any ice they carve surprisingly well

also how many seasons will you think i could get outta these vishnu’s ??? i’m hoping 2. i’m not insane and won’t beat them too hard

i think i’m going to go with wets when they drop this year. i’m still kind of stuck thinking i’ll like the on3p but i literally can’t decide. i will prob grab the vishnu’s with some pivots.

I ride my skis hard as hell and ski 5 days a week which adds up to 80-90 day seasons and they usually pull through the whole season and part of the next before the bindings will rip out.

if you ride your skis until they can’t hold binding screws anymore you’ll get a lot more life out of them

i may go for nomads due to the all mountain use of them also. i really can’t decide.

Can’t go wrong with either 3 of those skis my guy they’re all super solid and fun. I’ve ridden nomads before too.

Vishnus for sure. They are so much more soft and playful then any other ski i have used. I have ridden magnuses, they are good to but they feel more like a normal ski that can be buttered and swerved where as the Vishnus feel like a whole new type of ski that is purpose built to butter and swerve. Magnuses can swerve if you want Vishnus beg to be swerved. I think it also kind of depends where you ride though. If you are out west and are gonna use them for all mountain ever you might want the Magnuss. For pure park definitely V or if you ski a small mountain Vs will make it more fun.

i ski some all mountain. a good amount . i want to butter. i ski the east. attitash and nashoba. some small new hamoshire places. wanna get into park a lot but i would say i’m a very good carver. i want a ski i can butter and have fun in the park. but also send some big rocks and explore outside the park. i want vishnu’s but i think the on3ps are more my style

Honestly dude people hate on Vs way to much, I live out in Colorado and have used my Vs to ski everything from urban to rails to jumps to 16 inches of pow and 10 foot drops. Sure they beg you to swerve but they are insane at all mountain, it’s so confusing cause you butter them like nothing but when you land a little backseat they still have stability and don’t just flop. I’ve never ridden the magnus but the is hbu wet is my favorite ski I’ve ever owned. Just my 2 cents

Vishnu is probably the best park brand out there. Most durable ski ever. And you would be supporting a small ski brand that is ran by way underrated skiers.
