ON3P Kartel 108 vs Wrenegade 108?

Yo! I'm a local at Alta Ski Area and I'm happy to say last year I bought my first pair on on3ps, the Kartel 116s. I love them and they're great skis for charging hard in pow while still being playful, although, they are a bit heavy when it came to doing 3s and lowered my confidence on backflips. Moving forward towards the season I'm thinking of getting new all-mountain skis that can charge pretty hard, handle crud and hit cliffs, but also playful, light and good for pow and natural hits/kickers. What do yall think, Kartel 108, or Wrenegade 108? Any other ski recommendations will work!

Thanks

(Sidenote: I'm 15, 5'6 and about 120 pounds)

Get the new ski from ON3P that’s right in the middle! The new Woodsman 108 would have similar stability to the Wren but more forgiving and playful. Similar weights though to all them but will be lighter than your 116 width skis.

The other great option that’s lighter but still charges is the Moment Wildcat 108. Perfect Alta ski!

You were on the 176cm yes?

With our line, it is a conversation on the Jeffrey 108 vs Woodsman 108, vs the Wrenegade. As for which skis to get....

"all-mountain skis that can charge pretty hard, handle crud and hit cliffs, but also playful, light and good for pow and natural hits/kickers."

Underline = Woodsman

Bold = Jeffrey

Figure out which one you want to have a higher performance set in and lean that way. If you liked the balance of the Kartel, I might still lean for the Jeffrey 108 (Kartel 108 rebranded). Lighter, more playful, still stable (especially at your weight).

Give me a call at the factory if you want to talk though the options in detail.

Is the Deathwish gonna charge harder than the Wildcat 108?

No, Deathwish is a softer flexing than the original Wildcat or Wildcat 108. It’s in between these 2 widths at 112mm and has triple camber instead of rocker/camber/rocker(mustache rocker) of the Wildcats. Still solid underfoot but more playful tip/tail than the Wildcats. The Wildcat 108 went to a slightly heavier and damper wood core than the original Wildcat so it’s similar in weight even with it’s narrower profile.

Deathwish is still a fantastic ski snd lots and lots of people love it. As said in this video, great “one ski powder quiver” for people that don’t have a dedicated wider powder ski for big dumps and a narrower powder ski for smaller snowfalls. Very versatile ski like all the Moment skis.
